My wife had this shiny little rasberry colored Dodge Shadow when we me in college, which I swear,,,hated me. Every other day it was something. I change the head gasket 3 times with a different brand gasket every time. Its like it was laughing at me every time I was crawling under it or had my head under the hood. We did manage to get 160,000 miles on it before we sold it to a neighbor who knew its history of problems. Guess what? the last time I saw him right before we moved ,,it still hadn't needed any work.Stupid car

1) isn't a first year model 2) was made in Japan Something like Honda FIT, 2nd model year BRZ. The US-made Japanese cars of today are not as reliable as the Japan-made models in the 90's. |

Went through an engine, transmission, power steering rack, alternator, cps sensor, coolant sensor - Glad I had extended warranty |

06 nissan murano - bought the car 2 years used with 20K miles on it, someone returned from the lease, was going to keep the car for years to come 200K+ miles to put the dog in, go fishing in, etc.. working car
all these issues happend under 50K -driver seat broke off (had to be welded back) -drive sun shade broke and would flap down nissan refused to recognize these as recalls and refused to fix for free, even though there were serious safety issues and stuff like that should never break on any car -rusted out muffle (I live in a pretty dry climate) -thousands of dollar worth of repairs on the most random stuff my mechanic used to joke around that the car had an evil spirit,, ended up getting rid of it and Japanese cars are supposed to be reliable right? |

Hope I didn't mention already in 6 pages but worth mentioning again. 1983 Chevrolet Cavalier, what a piece of shit. Bought in 1990 and was the second car I'd ever owned. I was young and stupid, the car should've never been bought. Nothing ever worked. I think of this car whenever I'm remotely thinking of buying American. Unfortunately.
My wife's 2007 Jetta is ever so slowly creeping onto this list.

I have heard some issues about the Porsche and it doesnt surprise me. For me my 91 Acura NSX was the worst out of all my cars. Truely now today a piece of shit. My 02 NSX was a little better but still same look and technology and got rid of it. Times and technology changes all the time and wanted more so moved on. So 91 NSX was my most unreliable car.

Least reliable: I got to say was 2002 BMW 745i. I was happy on the day I bought it and on the day I sold it, in between horrible.
Most reliable: was my Honda S2000, best car ever build and build in Japan. |

07 e90. Its been a good car, but all my previous cars have been bulletproof.
That lil car sure knows how to take a beating without so much as a peep. That car has so much character. I miss it. |

I sold my beloved Honda S2000 this past June. Miss it a lot. At least I sold it for the same price I bought it 2 years ago and put almost 25k miles on it. Those cars hold their value. My next would either be another S2000 or 2013 M3. It's nice not to see both those cars on this list.

My 3000GT has been nothing but trouble since I bought it. The day I picked it up from having an accessory belt replaced, the other belt jumped off the pulley, cut through the timing belt cover, made the timing belt jump timing and destroyed the heads and 4/6 pistons. Then after a year and a half at the mechanic the 2nd day I get to drive it a 3 inch rubber hose connecting the water housing to a turbo line splits open and dumps all my coolant. Thats just the worst of the problems, but the car has cost more to maintain that I originally bought it for 6 years ago. Its almost sold though, thankfully.

All of my cars have been reliable, but that's probably becasue i'm fastidious about maintenance. I'd say the least reliable was semi-ironically my Ford Ranger snow vehicle. It was just plagued with stupid little issues that Ford put half assed fixes in for when refining the design over the past 20-30 years.

worst: 09 BMW135
HPFP replaced twice AC failed 3 years in a row Sunroof rattle that could never be resolved Radio that decides it does not want to work, but fixes itself when a car warning happens Tail light failure And most recent, ab ABS warning that comes and goes. Just traded in 135 and bought a 2013 subaru BRZ. The 135 warranty was up in 6 months. The 99 M Roadsters ws one of the most trouble free cars I have ever owned.

Worst is my current 335i
Then my old E46 followed by E36. I have had probaly 15 Ford products over the years and had no troubles with them. Will be leaving BMW to get a GT500 on my next purchase.
