The car of my "prime" adulthood vs. the car of my care-free youth
When I was 24, I bought a 1989 Toyota Supra.
That was a fantastic car. I loved every minute of it. Fabulous to drive, and great (though perhaps dated by today's standards 18 years later) looks. (and flip-up headlights that I always though were cool) Haven't had a car I've loved as much to date - until my e92 335. Even better looks, at least as much fun to drive, but sadly, no flip-up headlights. To be fair, if "fun to drive" is the only attribute to judge the car by, our 1996 Honda Prelude might win. Not great looks, terrbile instrument panel, really uncomfortable, perhaps not that safe, crummy milage for a car that small, but a real great kick on the to shift through the gears in- and it wasn't even the VTEC version. The 335 has it all though. Fun to drive, great looks, comfortable seats, even in the back, not terrible milage, and safe.
