oh, well nitrous is a different story...i just meant that in my current state of modification i stand no chance against a 600+awhp GTR. at any rate, i have no plans for nitrous while on the stock twins. my next power mod will be to install the MAP ECU II i have laying around and get it properly tuned, which should get me into the upper 400whp range. after that, i'll be saving to go single...

MAP ECU 2 is what I used to tune my car. Absolutely loved the program as it was so easy to tune on my own. Its got everything built in to control the nitrous (window switch, throttle %, etc.). I was the same way about putting nitrous on my car but I wouldn't have it any other way now. It helps the stock twins run cooler making more efficient plus it adds more power. If you need any help or have any questions feel free to PM me.

Enough derailing. Keep up the great work on the build. It's going to be a sick car when its done!

sorry i haven't updated this thread in a while guys...i've unfortunately experienced some setbacks while putting the motor back in. upon trying to start her up, we encountered a host of problems that were fortunately all related through a single electrical issue. but b/c i'm not a full-time mechanic, and b/c i can only throw a few hours at it every other night, it was taking me forever to find and fix the problem. i decided that it would be much quicker to let an experienced mechanic track down the electrical issue and fix it, even if it costs me out of pocket. needless to say, we've since gotten the car started, but discovered a few additional minor electrical issues (not getting speedo, tach, or engine temp signals, and the A/C compressor isn't turning on and blowing cold air). once i get those issues worked out (hopefully in the next week), i'll be able to take her back to my body guy and install the rest of the body work. then i just gotta install the HIDs, do a full detail inside and out, and figure out what i'm going to do for wheels (since the guy who was supposed to give me his Axis Pentas can no longer give them to me). that's where i'm at right now...its been frustrating as hell, but i'm very close to being done. do you ever get that feeling like you're so close, yet so far? lol

well guys, its been a while since the last update b/c this project has been bumped from the top of my list of priorities for now. that's not to say i haven't made progress on her over the last few months. the electrical problem causing all of those seemingly random issues turned out to be some faulty contacts - 8 or so pins in the major 84-pin connector on my ECU harness had backed out of their seats and weren't making contact. fixing those pins fixed every engine/electrical issue i was experiencing. so now the car runs without issue. my HID low beams are in and working, but for some reason i can't get the HID fogs working, so i'm still working on that in my spare time. i also have to make custom ramps out of 2x4's to drive up on so i can get a jack under the sideskirts lol. then i'll be able to reinstall the fender liners. the right side of my front lip is coming off b/c we didn't use long enough rivets to hold it to the bumper...no problem, we'll just reinstall with longer rivets. there's a rubber gasket/seal that sits between the hood and front bumper that won't stay in place b/c i misplaced the clips that hold it down, so i gotta take care of that. gotta reinstall the windshield washer nozzles after having them painted to match. and finally, i gotta do something about wheels. not that i have a problem with the look of the stock ones, its just that they sit so far inside the wheel well that "aggressive" is the last word i would use to describe the stance/offset.

at any rate, i'm that much closer, but it may be a while before i put together a photoshoot. anyways, thanks for remembering my thread...your patience will pay off in the end...
