Overall, not as bad as I thought, but as opposed to other new model launches, I am having a tough time thinking this will grow on me.

Why does the rear give me Camry vibes? Not a fan on this one to be honest. A miss on my book, but who knows maybe after a couple of months it’ll grown on people just like the new M2 & the G80. I once thought that car was ugly but now find myself wanting one in typical BMW fashion 🫠😂

Exterior design/line has no soul.
Interior on the other hand looks very modern. |

Grey is quite possibly the worst color one can get on a car. Imagine dropping $80k on this just to blend in with everybody else.

Anyone else starting to think BMW is designing for one specific target market in particular. If you look at the new X7 and 7 series along with this 5 it has me thinking they are designing for the highest sales by Major Country of Global Region those being Asia & China. Now before people get all sensative and start saying racism I’m sure we all can agree these new designs aren’t made for the Germans. Just saying…

Saw one in person for the first time yesterday and it is a good looking car. My only gripe, and it's a big one, are the WEAK DRL's. Big step down from the G30.

Other circlejerks call it a Kia which I also don’t see. I don’t think it looks as good as a G30 M550i but I don’t think it’s particularly ugly. The incorporation of the DAPP sensor in the grill should’ve been done a little better. |

New G60 thoughts
I just bought a 23 G30 530I X Drive and love the classic BMW interior. On the new car my complaint is it has grown a decent amount which I don't think was necessary. I am in the US, but anything longer in the EU is not great for parking (Try parking in Munich) etc. Why do manufacturers think we keep wanting bigger cars? While the exterior is not great, I would buy the G60 more for the technology and improvements. I know this car has Highway Assist plus driver assistance Pro. Highway assist is hands free so perhaps it needed the camera? I tend to overlook style alone but buy cars based on feel and tech. That said, I prefer the classic cockpit of the G30 over any of the interiors of electric cars or screen. I agree with some others on the ugly plastic cladding on the lower back.

I'd need to see the car with nice rims...not the shitty small ones on the pictures.
Normally BMW has 1 really good looking OEM wheel for each car....

Many people would disagree. People drop a hell of a lot more than $80k on cars and still choose them in grey (or black). Not everyone wants to stand out.

The different size numbers for the model badge in the trunk looks really bad.
Same for the radar in the middle of the grille |
