Doesn't time dilute a niche car anyway? Carroll Shelby created a niche car with the '65 GT350. It was a stripped down, no frills, race ready street car. Now Shelby's vision has been so diluted they are everywhere, it won't be long 'till somebody makes a Shelby truck. Oh, wait.....(quick Google search) Well, that's just sad, somebody did it. 'Ol Shel must be spinning in his grave.

Same thing with the Grand Sport Corvette, those things were created with only one thing in mind - whip up on Cobras on the racing circuit. Now you can get them loaded up like a Cadillac.

The M cars were born to race, just like the GT350, and now they, too, have evolved from the original vision.

I guess that's just life.
