The other night I picked up 3 chicks in their early 20’s down for spring break from NJ wearing skimpy outfits and took them for about an hour drive. We pulled up to this club in South Beach but for some reason they didn’t like the ‘crowd’ and were afraid to go in lol. So they wanted me to pull over and ‘park’ so we could all talk. After about 10 minutes they wanted me to take them to another club so we went but they gave me the wrong address and ended up somewhere near Marlins Park. Realizing their mistake we ended up back in South Beach.

They wanted me to go with them to a strip club later. Figuring they were just joking, they were actually cereal about it. They wanted me to be their Uber driver for the whole night and whatnot. One of them demanded my number or I wouldn’t get 5 stars/tip (overall I got $55 in that hour trip) so I figured customer is always right, right? I gave my number and figured if the wife bitched I would mention that I offer top notch customer service!

The one who sat up front and got my number mentioned that she has a sugar daddy and a bf so this was a very high maintenance chick. All three were maybe a 7.5 out of 10. Before I dropped them off they all needed to go to a bathroom so I waited for them at a gas station and they videoed each other in the bathroom and showed me. Interesting video to say the least. Saw skin so can’t complain.

Not even 25 minutes after dropping them off this chick is blowing up my phone saying how they want me to go with them to a strip club and how I was their best Uber driver ever. Sending me pics of what they were drinking but nothing worth posting here as they didn’t send me selfies. It was busy that night and was glad I was rolling in the dough.

High maintenance chick passed out I guess and text me the following day saying how she got sick and fell/threw up and had been sleeping all day.

After I dropped them off I got another request from 3 girls, 2 who were kinda fugly sat in the back while the hot one sat up front. Would not stop talking to me and seemed bummed out that the ride ended about 15 minutes later. Seemed that maybe she wanted me to ask her for her number but knew I was married.

For the record as I’ve said this before, I am not a ladies man. I’m just offering great customer service

A couple had a small pug with them and apparently it peed a little on the back seat. When we arrived at their condo, the doorman handed them a tissue and he cleaned it (I barely saw anything). Guy gave me $20 for the (minor) trouble.

Correct, though money gets deposited into my account. As for taxes, I’m considered an independent employee (1099). Im going to have a ton of write offs (Civic, gas, maintenance, food, clothes, cell phone, etc...)

This is the reason why I purchased the Civic as they are known for reliability PLUS I don’t mind the miles being racked up. If was using the 335 for this, I would be extremely worried about racking up the miles/maintenance, etc...

I love to drive and this job is perfect for it. Now, I don’t plan on doing this forever as I’m still trying to decide what I want to do ‘when I grow up’. What I don’t want to do is being stuck behind a desk again as I enjoy being mobile. I’ve came up with two ‘careers’ that I wouldn’t mind doing eventually:

Sanitation business (aka garbage man)
Home inspectors (good business here in So Fl)

As for now, I’m enjoying being my own boss, meeting new people everyday and just being free.

I always thought that garbage man was a romantic occupation. Hanging onto the back of the truck in a sleeveless t shirt, puffing a doob, letting the wind and sun do their thing, every now and then scoring some swag outta rich peoples' trash. Pretty sweet gig.

Wish I saw this, just got back from South Beach. Each Uber driver we had didn't speak a word of english, combined with the fact they couldn't figure out the entrance to our hotel. Good thing wife speaks spanish though.

Weather was awesome, returned right back to NY in time for a snow storm lol.

Maybe but all that gas wasted isn’t efficient. I took an Uber over the weekend after drinking and was picked up in a Nissan Pathfinder with 117k on the clock and noticed his transmission was on the way out. Hope he has a 2nd car for this.

You have explained a problem that I hear at least twice every time I’m on the road. I would assume most of them are Cuban and it’s a shame that they refuse to learn English. And before I get flamed for calling out a nationality, I am indeed Cuban myself and I cannot stand them. IMHO a majority (not all) Cubans living in Miami are arrogant. End rant.

Yeah, one of the reasons why I moved from NY is the weather. However, there aren’t really any great driving roads down here as I have yet to see a road down here beat Route 218 between West Point and Cornwall.

While I cannot speak for other rideshare drivers, I feel that I am better than a cab driver because:

A. My car is cleaner and I’m polite
2. My driving skills match up with Alex Zanardi
D. I speak English

Also, you don't talk on your mobile phone in a foreign language during the ride, you are polite and your vehicle doesn't reek of empty tuna cans.
