My response was about Game 5. You are obviously not talking about Game 5.
You say Curry can't defend and that the Warriors cannot defend. I gave you some stats that say otherwise. Remember, we are talking about the team that one the title last year and set a new record for game won this season, led by a two-time-in-a-row MVP who was unanimously voted first this year. BTW, Curry had the NBA record this year (as in best in the league) for average steals per game. So, you can come up with whatever response you like about his defensive abilities. It has no bearing on the truth. Oklahoma is a great team with great individual players. They may very well win it. If they do, they certainly deserve it. I've not once said otherwise. I started this thread to simply to make a comment about a pretty remarkable achievement by GS. I didn't bash any other player or team. I simply said nice job breaking a record for games won in a season. Clearly they could not have done that without being able to defend. That's pretty obvious, right? |

Put some skates on Curry. Better yet, give Green a hockey stick and see what happens with everybody's balls. That will do it. Maybe throw in a ref conspiracy that lets the Sharks win. We know the Sharks can't play defense so adding that one trick pony Curry to the team couldn't possibly hurt anything. Make sure to comment on how unloyal the Sharks fans are and how they leave early and how the sharks won't be in the Stanley Cup finals again until the year 3028 and how they don't deserve to be there. That should get the party started.

It sure is quiet around here this morning. For those who made absolute statements that GS would be sent packing last night, please feel free to share what went wrong. Was it the refs helping GS too much? Was it GS just being lucky? Or, was it just that you forgot that GS are the defending champions with the best record ever in regular season with an MVP with unanimous first place votes surrounded by a bunch of really talented guys who really want to repeat.
It doesn't take that long to come up with some cleaver response to the game last night. Come on, tell us about one trick ponies, bad refs, luck, bandwagons, or whatever fan logic you choose to share. |

I agree. Okc will play them tough on Monday. It's no sure thing. I always want my team to win, but I'd never declare victory before the game is even played. My post was to those who insisted that GS was absolutely, definately lose Game 6. |

Hopefully GS takes care of OKC tonight!
And to address Flying Ace's comment about GS having crappy D. 72pts in a half is absolutely horrendous. And yes, a lack of good D will do that. But that was one game. Nobody is at their best every single night. I mean...GS did lose 9 games this season am I right? Can't argue that! |

That's what I was thinking when I responded in #111. What does the 72 point half have to do with Game 5. I didn't expect a response and so far my expectations have been met. |

Game 7 is anyone's game. A single game elimination game is what's left. Throw all the past records out the window...this is the game that counts.

Warriors win, 96-88.
There's going to be a lot of head scratching and finger-pointing over at OKC for a while.
