I think I will be on TITUS rather than TUGELA going by my expected delivery date which stops in Southampton en route.

Being on TITUS would give them 5 days to move the car about in Southampton or whatever they need to do before the first day of my expected delivery week to the dealer! (WK39)

Yeah, it's the same here in Spain. My situation is different though. I purchased a US Spec 540iX to be delivered in Spain tax-free. The Genius line told me they can't track my vehicle, until I ship it to the US and register it at any dealer, or on BMW USA. BMW Iberica can't track it because it is a US Spec vehicle, and the US VIN number sequence doesn't match the Numero de Bastidor, sequence that EU Spec vehicles use. (I think we use too many numbers). They can use their APP once the vehicle is delivered to perform service, warranty work etc. So I can't use the Google trick either, and the MY BMW app does not show it as a valid BMWUSA VIN, or order number either.

Looks like my build week was moved up to week 35. Body shop completed (status 151 completed). Latest update puts the vehicle in the paint shop (status 152). Hopefully, some of the other week 36 customers have moved up also.

I think madagil on another thread has had thier build that was WK 36 move to 151 and beyond too, I saw this and early checked with the Genius this morning but still at 150. So I am guessing I am going to happen right on schedule rather than early.

Although not too bothered - when I ordered I was told early November and now it is late September.

If it comes any earlier I literally can't collect it due to work and some holidays so can't complain.

So I just got a email from BMW that I have a change in my production. When I use web inspect on the Track My BMW site I noticed my production date (prodDate) has changed from 2024-09-05 to now 2024-09-04. One day earlier! That is nice to see. hehe

I'm actually a little worried about my delivery date. If it goes as scheduled, It will arrive at the dealer the second week of October. Well I am flying to SFO on the second week of October. I won't be back until the end of the 3rd week of Oct. My issue is the registration process. In Spain it takes a minimum of 2 weeks. I have to pick up paperwork from the dealer, and take it to the Vehicle Registration and Security Dept on base (Where the dealer can't go), to process stuff that then needs to be sent off to the Registrar in Cadiz. And there is no way I want to allow ToddRGuy to get his car first on a technicality. Lol. That would just give him too much of a head start to gloat.

lol! 😂 Well, I have to fly to California the week of the ninth. Stanford wants me to come visit for work. But I have a feeling even with this obstacle my knuckles are going to be gripping the steering wheel first. I’ll be sure to report back on how much fun I’m having 😜

Todd. I just found out I passed into 154 today. So check on yours you are probably there too. It went from 150 Monday morning all the way through the body shop , paint shop, and initial assembly. 155 I believe is final assembly.

Week 40 (2nd week in Oct) is my delivery to dealer estimate. Unfortunately I will be in Benicia, CA from the 7th until the 16th. So it might sit there for a couple weeks waiting for me to return.

But thanks to Spain being pretty much a Gentleman's agreement country, my dealer knows people at the security office, and might be able to get the registration process done for me in my absence. I just have to pay him the fees when I return.

Oh, mean what was your original production date that they provided you? I realize you can’t look online. Mine is 9-10.

I just logged into check status on my order and it looks like it went backwards to Order Received from Scheduled for Production? The order was for week 39, but I am wondering if it got pushed into the following week and hence the status reverted back to Order Received?
PS. Just called the genius line and was informed that production has been pushed to week 45. They could not give me any reason as to why it was pushed. Carbon Black with Silverstone/Atlas Grey Merino.

Ugh, I’m sorry. That’s such a huge change; it sucks. Mine is carbon black too. I hope they didn’t run out of paint 😅. Is this for a 530/540 or 550?

I texted the dealer to find out why it was pushed so far back. This is for an i5 X40. I was intially going with Oxide Gray but after looking at the Carbon Black in person at the dealer, I changed my mind. It is just so appealing to the eye.
