Thanks for the link. I will be sure to test with a close eye on things and not get too carried away. I checked tonight, and the Parking Assistant Professional did activate in the car as it said (within 24 hours) so I will try some stuff and report back. I do now see the option to record paths and I also have the option in the myBMW app for the remote parking now. Just haven't tried them yet.

The remote control parking is very cool to experience, but it’s a bit of a parlor trick and not necessarily something you’ll use all the time. It is pretty cool to see the vehicle maneuvering, parking, etc with nobody inside, though.

The remote control forward/backward thing is something I’ve used a bit cause it allows me to park closer to the wall in my garage, but I’ll never use the reverse assistant. My experience with it in my old F44 was it smashing into the wall and scraping the crap out of my front bumper

The software update to 03/2024.57 seems to have fixed my remote parking issues.

I have a 5 series and I don’t see the option for remote parking. Is this not available in the US? I have driving professional package.

Remote parking is part of driving pro. You would see it in your myBMW app if you have it. Make sure you have the parking pro, and not just the parking plus. Parking pro is something you have to purchase from the iDrive store, it doesn't come with the order sheet when you buy the vehicle.

I have Pro (I’m the OP ) but it wasn’t showing up in my app even after getting the update. However, I deleted the app from my phone and reinstalled…and finally…after having the car for 6 months…I can use the remote parking. Now I’ll probably never use the remote parking

Finally was able to see remote parking after the recent code upgrade. It works well.
