I had these Hybrid Hibiscus shipped to me from Oregon since they are not sold locally. I planted them 5 weeks ago. Prepared the soil, plenty of water and root stimulate.
They have ginormous 8in Blooms now!

there's some videos on how long before you will see baby caterpillars. i'mma have to try this next year

on that note everything in my yard seems to be doing great! the drip system i installed earlier in the Spring seems to do a great job!

Agree! My hydrangea bush is more like a tree and I love it in the late summer when it turns pink.

i like the variety of colors! do they attract any kind of insects?

another note- my lawn has a disease called Lawn Rust, gives off orange powder residue on your shoes if you walk on it.

I purchase the Scotts ExDiseases, slow progress getting this lawn green!!!

the Scott's should help with the lawn rust. that's a fungus right? they attract a lot of pollinators. but i do have a company Greenix who take care of the wrong insects

I deal w/ lawn rust every year. Starts on the clumping fescue and spreads to the weaker areas of the lawn. Preventatively treat you yard once the humidity is up and the nights are cool.

There are different options to treat it and you're technically supposed to switch 'active ingredients' each application to prevent fungi from becoming tolerant.

There are only so many options for cool season grass. Most people use a blend vs straight type. Granted there are many different cultivars of each major type, but still ...the basics are fescue, Kentucky bluegrass, and rye.

You can get an idea by looking at the blades and root structure or, yeah, ask the people that did it (maybe they but maybe they don't). The receipt, contract, etc... from the folks that did the work might also say.

My potted purple Fountain grasses are doing well. Considering they are a zone 7 plants, they do well in my zone 4 as annuals during the hot summer.

what product can I use to get lawn thick and more green?
how do i fix no grass patches?

Despite giving away baskets of vegetables to Senior's Homes and food banks, I'm still harvesting from my gardens. I still have a row of carrots, tomatoes and a few zucchinis left.

I've already blanched and froze several bags that I will use over the winter. Any green tomatoes left will be used for making chow-chow.
