Don't forget the ammo!! lol

I still can't believe you don't know my pal who lives in LA. (Marina Del Ray) You and he, i think, would get along really well. He's a gym rat, beds down loads of ladies, likes shooting, drives and M6, etc.... LA is too big i guess.

His name is Lawrence.

So with school and crap, I haven't lifted consistently for 11 months

Huge waste of one year. But, my priorities changed, so I had to deal with it.

Back at it though! Went from not lifting starting August 2015, to cutting in March 2016, to now bulking starting yesterday. Gonna stick with bulking. Sitting about 12% body fat, so not bad. Gotta be careful, do NOT want to get over 15%.

Goal is to work out twice daily, morning cardio, evening weightlifting, WHILE bulking. Easy way to put on muscle and not gain too much fat.

4K cals a day, here we go!

Will be posting much more frequently on here, everyone better get motivated and set some goals!

Go last night to swim, pool is closed down by county health (fawkers can't be bothered to even rinse off after sweating it up before jumping in pool) but I only have slip-ons and trunks under my shorts. Think I'll do a pull day but it was jammed in that area. Head over to squat rack even though I ran the day before, and start out OK. Second set, with a bit wider stance, and suddenly BOTH legs scream inner groin. Got an 8-rep set out anyways. Next set I just bend the knees a bit to get under the bar, and both cramp up big time. Spent the rest of the night soaking in the Jacuzzi (AFTER rinsing off first)

Tell that to my belly fat

Son went with me again last night, I'm making sure he gets good form before we move up the weights. So far he has been very good at reducing a weight if it feels like too much for himself.

Good advice to your son. In my experience there are two paths in the journey...

1. Good form and weight you can control for a long lifting career

2. Ego lifting and injuries

#1 doesn't mean lift light or not push yourself, it's more a "push yourself as hard as you can while always being strict on form and control"

They are going well, although I haven't made any further progress as far as outright strength is concerned (...my squat and deadlift are still hovering around 500 lbs., and my bench dropped a little to 325 lbs.). I'm working on an aesthetic goal now; something I've never focused on despite having good aesthetics. I'm trying to take my "look" to the next level. I'm working a lot more with machines these days.

LOL! Heck no. I stay far away from Brazil during major events. Rio and other areas are already problematic enough without the flood of tourists.

Question regarding cardio: Is it better to do it before or after your workout? I used to do it before to get nice and warmed up, but after talking to someone, they recommended moving it to after my workout so I save my stored energy for the heavy weights and then more likely to burn fat during cardio. Thoughts?

It depends on what you're trying to accomplish and how your body reacts to cardio. The advice that you received was sound simply because you don't want to burn all of your glycogen stores, etc. on cardio. Use it to move the weight, and then follow up your workout with low impact/low intensity cardio. No need to go balls to the wall. Slow & steady (...with long duration) will get you there. I've tried all of the approaches (..fasted cardio first thing in the morning, two-a-days, post-workout cardio, etc.), and each approach has it's pluses and minuses.
