Oh man, I went to a meet last night and some guy in what I thought was an e46 M3 was parked so I parked next to him. After a closer look, the owner bought a e46 M3 body kit and installed it on his 328i.

Wish I took some pictures, but forgot. Buddy of mine asked him about the car and if it was an M3 and he was fully confident it was. He parked like an inch from the wall so we couldn't really see the rear of the vehicle, but when he left he had the twin side exhausts from the stock 328i and a M3 rear bumper.

My friend works in the yard at an auto recovery yard (if you don't make payments, he'll see your car!) and collects badges and emblems.

I just put it up to take the pic, didn't stick it on though

Getting off the beltway in Alexandria today I saw a completely stock 328...except the 328 badge was replaced by our M3 badge!!!

Was so glad I found this thread yesterday, went through the whole thing lmao!

. And low and behold the gem of an M I come across on the way home from work today lol, had the most ///M stripes I've ever seen! Was on the highway so excuse the pic..hard to see but replaced the 328i with an awful m badge, stripes on every single door handle, roof, front bumper and what you see here:
