He was looking at an Ariel. I was really proud when he detected the usual stuff like where the petrol goes, then he said to me that the brakes are tiny. He asked me to ask how much the car weighs

I asked, did the quick math (translated it into milk cartoons) and he went "ah, well then he doesn't need huge ones"

Mom was so proud

She was seriously an angel.

She was a cook for this local restaurant in paramount called Golden Bowl off Downey/alondra.

She knew what went down with my parents and the law since it was all over the news, so when she heard I was sleeping in my car- she told me to swing by every night and she'd give me left over chicken that wasn't served.

I owe that lady a lot. And Anthony, the night guy at 24 hour fitness Lakewood for letting me park my car there without having to worry about getting towed or asked to moved/let me use the shower even though my membership was late. Every year during Christmas- I still send them cards and a check/gift for their families. Simple things like that go a lonnnggggggg way with me.

I get asked so often what I get out of the stuff I do, and the skepticism I encounter is unreal. It's like "I'm spending my own money, I'm not asking anything from you and I don't care what you think abt my hobby. Wanna share your old stuff? Fine. Wanna come and check my closet that I'm not taking them for me? Fine. Wanna suspect me for trying to con you? Cool"

One lady followed me to a grocery store last Christmas time, since I took a homeless and a salvation army collectors with me to fill their carts. She actually had the nerve of telling me I'm just trying to buy my slot to Jesus.

LOL people who haven't seen the other side of true struggle/adversity simply don't get it. I was fortunate/unfortunate to see/feel it at a very young age.

It's sad, because not all homeless people are druggies, or alcoholics- and simply good people who are REALLY down on their luck. That's why I find it important to simply talk to them if anything. It's amazing how such a simple thing can truly help lift a persons spirit.

The best gift anyone can give another, despite what common society dictates- is your time. And you don't have to agree with them, just so long as you keep respect towards each other, despite the different social classes one may be categorized in.

You should have responded to that lady "oh yeah, well with assumptions like that, you just bought yourself a ticket to hell"
