Really? I know just out of college with my first job, even making good money, no way I could afford a 50k car. But I had student loans greater than the cost of that car so . . .

The reviews for both the A45 and the CLA45 AMG have been overwhelmingly positive.

I know several people that have taken delivery and they have been thrilled with it.

With the optional AMG Performance Exhaust and the Recaro seats, it both sounds great (for a 2.0L turbo 4-cylinder) and looks great on the inside.

In every review I've seen thus far, the car has consistently hit 60 in 4.2 seconds. It has also accomplished some nice 1/4 mile times as well.

There are already tunes available for the CLA45 and these tunes yield some pretty monstrous gains.

indeed, especially since a tune or a ecu mod could turn this into a beast...

Those are great options. Eurocharged also has an outstanding tune as well.

I wish they had tuned the 4Matic system to be rear bias instead of kicking in when it detects slip.

Agreed, and that they'd used a newer version of Haldex. The Mk6 Golf R had some power distribution to the rear wheels and can send 90% to the rear, the Mk7 apparently has more constant power and can send "nearly" 100% to the rear. Meanwhile the CLA45 has an older version with no fixed power delivery and a max of 60% to the rear, or the same as a RWD based 4Matic car before any slip is detected.

The CLA is a decent car, but it's front wheel drive.

The CLA45 AMG is not a purely FWD car. It can send power to the rear wheels.

And the standard CLA is now available with 4MATIC:
