I am impressed at how much he has matured as a driver since his Renault days. He is incredibly calm and focused on the end goal; the last few races in particular have just added to his confidence. |

There was some great midfield action, though. We can't have Malaysia or Valencia-type races every single weekend. It wasn't a classic, but I thought it was entertaining enough, with the top three so close together.

Boring race. A clean-air win from Alonso (barely at that). Vettel wasn't confused, he was run to the side by a douche-move by LH (who admitted he was 'just having fun out there' even tho he had ZERO hope of finishing in the points - much less on the podium). Happy for Kamui.
On to Hungary. |

That's how Button end up in second and chasing on Alonso. However he was unable to get anywhere closer than 0.7 from Alonso, and it was in Spainard's total control. On Lap 66, where Button's tires starting to degrade, Vettel attempt on overtake him over the hairpin. Button defended on the inside, and Vettel went outside and off track to overtake Button. Eventually resulted a 20 second penalty from the race stewards. One thing to point out, during qualifying, I recall Martin Brundle said race control told drivers their flying lap wont count because all four wheels went off track on turn 1. Quote:
Nonetheless, truly impressive and the most complete driver on the paddock now. I would even rate him a bit higher than schumi despite the amount of trophies and championships. We might see Alonso winning his third WDC this season. Transforming a POS to a race winning racecar. Its ok that I don't like him. I rate drivers fairly, i give them credit where its due.

Alonso
I wonder if the FIA will look further into the RBR torque map deal.

Interestingly, this week's McLaren Toons ends with fast pit crew.
Where they just made a record breaking 2.3 second pit stop.

Race was a bit boring. Extra tire stop for Schumi cost him several places.

How was it boring? It was a good race. A lot of overtaking, fighting for positions and some drama. What else do you want? Alonso led the entire race but it wasnt like he led by 10 sec the whole race. He was in sight of both 2nd and 3rd until the end.
The continental tire series are you serious? That is a class of amateurs. Lowest of the low. The only thing worth watching in US is ALMS |

Don't forget Button's pass on Schumi and Kimi, that's crucial on his podium run last Sunday!

Its boring as the same 3 guys are either leading or winning.
there is nothing more boring than the guy who gets the pole wins. the only overtaking was vettel & JB and then they doc Sebastian for illegal pass. IMO, sure F1 are superior cars, but its a 5 car series, all others have no chance. i like the ALMS GT class |
