the liability for careless design is not going to be worth it for you and your future client. it maybe just as hard as sciences considering you have to think about structures, materials, psychology of people, geography, climate, etc, to be a good designer. Quote:

oh, and thesis projects do take months to finish. lots and lots of research before you even draw the first line of your design. there is also the revisions that projects have to go through before getting to the final product. and here is a video for people who are thinking of taking architecture. http://www.xtranormal.com/watch/7429337/ and before anyone misunderstand me after all of the not-so-fun things in architecture that i mentioned, i am doing architecture because i love drawing and getting involved in the whole thought process of designing. so good luck to anyone out there who is considering architecture. respect any field that you want to get into. peace.

Unless you plan on doing emergency medicine or landing a private radiology job (one of the most competitive specialties to get into, btw), your life WILL NOT get easier. Physicians typically work 50-60 hours a week, and this excludes other obligations (conferences, billing, paperwork, etc etc). Many specialties will require you to be on call x number of days a month, and in your free time you are expected to keep up with new medical literature. I will tell you that as a physician and someone who has worked in business in the past, that your undergraduate years (regardless of what the hell you are doing) are your EASIEST years. So if you're struggling now, it's only going to get a heck of a lot worse, and maybe you should consider another career path. Last edited by Echo M3; 11-03-2010 at 05:49 PM.. |

College isn't that bad. I work 40 hours a week and take 15 hours. It's a bitch, but is totally worth the knowledge learned and the paycheck after that diploma.

I really have no idea why this Ivy-boy thinks he's king-shit with a Chemistry Major. A Biochemistry student would shit on his workload. A Pharmacology student would make his Chemistry major look like a joke. A physiology student would tell him to sdfu. And ironically, those other majors are also considered "pre-med" and probably give students a higher chance of actually getting in to Med School.

I would actually attribute it to overall dryness of the winter season, excess dust in the air, and seasonal allergic rhinitis leading to weakened nasal vessels and congestion. Probably exacerbated by excess blowing of my nose. But hey, whos counting.

i have nothing against learning, and i definitely like educated people, but I hate doing projects / studying / essays i mean, if I become a rich entrepreneur before I go to University, then i'd just go to class to listen to the teacher (interesting classes, not math or english :P, ie. i like astronomy, psychology etc.)
