OTA came up in the app this morning and got mine installed. Took the whole commute home to transfer. I did notice that the hands-free assist was not available while transferring the update on the drive home. I figured it was simply disengaged while in an update process for safety. Will see how it goes tomorrow.

Are the last two digits of the update model specific or should everyone have the same number regardless of the the model? I have a 2024 540i and just updated to 03/2024.57

I believe the update is the same for all G60 models.

Thanks, I wil try this. My navigation was impossible this morning and I had to switch to Apple Maps for traffic.

So far only changes I have noticed are the ones previously mentioned.. adding parking pro in the connected store and time zone fix.

No fix for displaying upcoming tracks from iPhone (whether CarPlay or Bluetooth). Still says to “Please wait.” At least that function still works on my 2014 X5 ; )

On the displaying upcoming tracks, my experience is that if the playlist is over a certain size, you get the "please wait" (and you can wait forever, because it will never work). Smaller playlists or an album, you can see it and navigate.

I use a USB thumb drive with my library on it and it navigates just fine with a lot of songs (thousands) and also displays the album art on the HUD when scrolling through.

Not sure if the CarPlay/Bluetooth issue is an Apple or BMW limitation. The behavior has been the same on all of our BMWs for years.

Not using any playlists…just random from my library. Same iphone on my X5 with the old NBT it brings up the next 5 tracks on the instrument cluster and lets you select any of the tracks. Not a big deal, just annoying since that menu comes up whenever I nudge the dial and it’s always empty.

On another note…anyone notice highway assist is less smooth after the update? Might be psychosomatic, but as soon as I turned Assist on this morning after the update…same route…it felt different. Tried again on commute home, even worse. Suddenly it was braking way more aggressively and hesitating in a lane with no cars anywhere near close. On easy turns it seemed to go in late and swing slightly wide.

Yesterday and every day prior it has been smooth cruising. I roll on the medium distance control setting with slow curve speed.i checked and the settings were all the same.

The side bolsters on my seat now move in more when I turn the car on. I’m guessing they fixed the issue with the intermittent bolster movement upon engaging Sport mode.

Since the update, my phone is connecting to CarPlay much more reliably... every time it's right there. Hoping it's not a temporary thing.

I tried on my drive home in traffic. The lane keep assist seemed a bit off to me. It wanted to veer to one side and I had to move it back. The following distance was fine, but the traffic was moving at 5mph. There was never a point when no cars were close.

I agree it seems to be off a bit from where it was. Following was fine for me, but it's almost like it felt less sure. I know that sounds dumb but that's how it felt

I think they altered something. Tried again today and the second I got on the freeway and engaged assist mode (hands on) the car started to lunge…decelerating and then accelerated, and then decelerating again. It’s almost like it’s trying to calibrate and it’s seeing cars in other lanes and reacting…but they don’t breach the line. It does seem to stabilize but it is not as sure footed the rest of the ride. I had to brake at one point and take the wheel at another because it felt off. Lane change felt a little smoother oddly enough.

Same. Based off the way the car would pull to lines, It gave me the impression that the car is “peeking” around traffic to get additional Lidar data..

I use that "self-driving" up to 85mph feature very very very often on a highway. Currently, the car handles perfectly, narrow lanes, abrupt lane shifting, none of this is an issue. Car does not bounce within the lane either. This feature works really well now.

Needless to say I am now dreading this install.

To be fair, I am nit picking more than anything, the feature still works well in my opinion.

I used the driver assistance last night for the first time after the update. I did not really notice any difference in performance pre-update (thankfully, as it had been working quite well).

I got to drive about 50 miles today on the full hands free driver assist and I think it's about the same. I think the one place where I may notice a very slight difference is that on some curves at high speed (80+) it doesn't turn quite early enough and gets towards the outside of the lane, but that's about it.
