What is the range on the i5? And is it much heavier? I found the Taycan for about 300 miles on a charge. |

How is the comfort of the seats? Their design doesn’t appeal to me, much like the standard seats in the new M2. Seat design is minor in the grand scheme of things but I think it’s a part of a balanced interior.

The Taycan is an awesome car. No one beats Porsche in handling and suspension tuning. My Taycan is equally as comfortable as my 750 on rough roads but it also handles much like a 911 when needed. Cons: It sits too low for my liking. The electronics and driving assistance system is close to trash when compared to BMW's stuff. As tight as it feels, I hear more squeaks than I ever did in my 750 or other BMWs. I drove BMWs for 27 years and i could not wait for the I5M60, so I picked this up.

Taycan drove much quieter than the M60. I added the noise insulated glass to my build, probably helped a bit. The M60 has quite a bit of wind noise when getting up to 80-90. Didn’t get a chance to bring the Taycan on the highway, might have the same problem. |

I also have the performance package which gives it the chassis control, 4 wheel steering and torque vectoring. I will go test drive an M60 just to compare, as it was my initial choice. How are the brakes on the M60? Taycan brakes are shockingly soft, on my car at least.

Considering how expensive they are, that range is super pathetic !

Brakes are pretty soft but it’s difficult to tell what’s regen braking vs actual braking. The adaptive regen braking works majority of the time to bring me down to 10mph, then I brake the rest of the way. Doesn’t work so well when coming to a sudden stop |

Yes, relatively. But I charge at home for under $2 a charge and I drive only 75 miles per day with a grin on my face, so it works perfectly for me.

Looks good, much prefer this “aluminum” grill trim.

I just saw one with temporary plates last night. The LED grille is huge and looks like an aftermarket addition trying to attract attention. Even if I get a 5 series, I'd not get one with the LED grille (if that is an option).

I consider it more of an EV thing. There is little to nothing marking this car as an EV over the other cars that will be using the same platform. We are an EV family, and it is important to me to show that without having a weird body shape like most other EVs. I like that the i5 looks normal but just a little bit of trim saying ‘I am electric’

ChargePoint Home Station working well so far. Installed hardwired with a 60AMP circuit, getting 48A to the car. I think that’s the max it can receive or at least the max the charger will put out

Picked up this beauty last night. Pictures don't do it justice and the drive/ride is fantastic. I traded in my G80 for the M60 and the family already likes it more haha.

Love that combo but never enough cajones to pull the trigger on that seat color. Those wheels go great w/ BSM. Congrats and enjoy.
