None at all. It was a weak comparison. Here is a comparison to my PS2. Not even remotely alike. One has two separated grills. Each have completely different headlights and lateral body lines. The PS2 is a hatchback, the BMW is a sedan.

And these are just the cursory differences. There are far more than that.

And for the record, comparing the looks to Polestar which is a company who literally have in their mission statement that they are based on design-first principles isn’t exactly as negative as you apparently think.

I see what you’re saying but there are also similarities to some degree as well. At least the overall impression is that there isn’t much new here. Not that I meant anything negative to the other cars or BMW necessarily. Just that much of the design meant for EVs is not that appealing.

Maybe there is a new design partnership coming between BMW and Lincoln from 6 years ago?

With all of the positive comments in this thread and others about the overall design direction I’ve got to assume that something/someone is making smart decisions for the future of BMW…

Not for me…

I see a lot of Lincoln design language in it. Not bad IMO. Definitely not BMW-ish, but far far better than BMW's current Klasse designs.

Hyundai is crushing it with concept and new car designs right now, they look amazing. BMW needs to fire their team and hire that one.

I would quite like a small 2 door coupe based on this design

I bought a 24’ m4 specifically because I anticipated switching to one of these soul sucking electric vehicles next. I’ll probably keep the m4 for a decade or two if only to remind me of how awesome gas powered cars were before their extinction.
