Well the Civic does have that odd forehead looking bulge over the grille and I can't take credit for the sperm whale comparison as someone on another forum did and it kind of does look a little similar. I don't know what that has to do with my tag line. You don't see me trolling on Honda Civic forums telling Honda fans I think their car is ugly. Besides the Civic does look a lot better in person and that weird transition from hood to grille is really my only gripe with it.

So did many brands outside of Porsche. Times have moved on, enthusiasts are craving very different things today, a thrilling , <2500 lbs high revving 4 banger driving experience is not realistic any longer when most people want their cars to be rolling computers that can drive for them, while safety standards become even tighter and emission standards become stricter

Honda is careful NOT to label this a Type R, because while most of us just remember the Integra as the 2 door ITR, the truth of the matter is, Integra is firstly the entry level sedan/coupe/hatchback Acura, both DA and DC gen is the same.

We can complain all we want, Honda did nothing wrong other than badge engineering which on a marketing stand point make sense. ILX is hardly moving and using an old badge will at least get people talking again.

Honestly, given the general car design trends of the last 3-4 years, this is pretty good. Will be one of the better looking cars on the road in my opinion.

The only thing I like about Honda is the Integra,NSX and F1 engined car, my local Honda dealership must be the most boring place like Peugeot and Ford, (Mustang only in selected dealerships) with mainly suv only.

The rear on this sedan render doesn't match at all with the teaser image Acura provided (look at the C pillar/window shape and where the rear door terminates). It's just a render after all though.

I am of the opposite opinion, I think it would be easier to quickly downshift 3-2 in this configuration because you don't have to worry about accidentally going into the reverse gate.

Won't this just be a rebadged Civic Type R? Not that that would necessarily be a bad thing. So it shouldn't be surprising that it will have a manual.

If it resembles the ILX i'd be like blah. I'm just getting older and new cars are for most part ugly. Hard to believe they are spending money on petrol based cars development when States are now mandating the death of them forcing us to purchase a electronic appliance.

Eh, the styling on the camo’d car looks bulbousy and gives me CLA vibes which I never was a fan of design-wise. Was hoping they’d go with a reimagined DC2 that would eventually evolve into a modern interpretation of a DC5. Sounds like it’s sporting a K20, so a type-r motor.
