Interesting and not at all surprising development regarding the settlement between the FIA and Ferrari. Seems that the teams are really irked about the confidentiality of the deal and are considering legal recourse. All of the non-Ferrari powered teams raised an objection. Will be interesting to see if they do take legal action and what information will be released if they win their case.

I don't think anything will come of this, if Ferrari will prove their engine was legal which will be 'presented' that way, then the seven have a big legal bill, which will probably be funded wholly by Merc.
Then we'll have another legal challenge which may be made against the das system if it is used in Melbourne,as they say, even stevens. oh I love F1

Impossible, as it clearly wasn't. WHich is why the statement said Ferrari and the FIA came to an agreement.

Sucks to be cheating and still not win the championship.

This is my takeaway as well. Not only not winning, but really not even having a prayer.

Yeah, that's why I mentioned if someone was able to pull the best individual sector times for each driver, then compile them into a theoretical fastest lap, that might provide a clearer picture.

It will never be released. FIA may end up telling the the other teams the details. But F1 can't take the PR hit of one of their biggest teams subverting environmental/sustainability regulations. The regs were put in to appease people going after F1 for the environmental impact of the sport. End of last year F1 announced it will work towards being carbon neutral by 2030. With that announcement and the current political climate, it wouldn't be a good look. Ferrari cheated and still lost, time to move on.

I don't agree with his assessment of why FIA didn't disclose what Ferrari did and how they did. It wasn't because Ferrari wanted to protect intellectual property. I am willing to bet the other teams know exactly what Ferrari were doing and a good idea how. That is why they called them out and asked FIA to step in. A company like Merc can't be caught cheating enviromental sporting regulations. German authorities just finished throwing the book at VW execs. Merc doesn't need them looking at their company with a fine tooth comb. If they cheat in F1 environmental regs, why wouldn't they cheat with the cars they sell as well.

In short : "Last season MAX was right"

It's actually really sad that rest of the world first said that MAX was a piece of 5HIT !
That moment when MAX said : *That's what you get when you stop cheating* !
It was that moment when the Ferrari Jet-Mode suddenly disappeared .
The FIA ! C'mon guys ...

The marshalls were very lucky ! The car landed only a few meters away from them !
From what I heard , one little mistake is enough in a race at the new Zandvoort and it's over and out .
The drivers said they couldn't find a good driver line in the banking .The circuit is actually really unpredictable !

Corriere Dello Sport reported that Toto Wolff has evidence of Ferrari cheating since Spa(?) But he didn't present it and now he may present it because Binotto in Concorde Agreement wants no previous F1 team principal to be on Liberty Media board crushing Toto's hopes of joining Liberty Media.

A bit like a Nascar banking, get it wrong, too much speed or too much 'wellie' and you are a passenger.

Depends what this evidence is exactly.I tend not to believe everything I read in newspapers and seeing it's an Italian paper it'll be interesting what he has being in another team, that is if he comes forward with it.
I gather it may be something electronic or Wolff is just scaring Binotto for revenge.

Bottom line is FIA and Formula 1 are nothing without Ferrari. F1 will seize to exist as it is without Ferrari. They can sue as they want, Ferrari doesn't give a shit and FIA will do whatever it takes to keep Ferrari happy. On the hand Liberty Media and FIA have their hands tied because Ferrari has veto power in the eighth Concorde Agreement. Marko and Horner are powerless and they're trying to rally more powerful allies like Wolff but Wolff doesn't want to piss off Binotto if he still wants to be on Liberty Media's board.
