Does anybody have the full question that redbull asked the FIA to clarify?

By reading the response I think Ferrari might have been able to tune the fuel flow to increase in the interval that's not being tested and then decrease it when it is being tested. Not necessarily capture the tested fuel and use it later (I wouldn't assume modern fuel flow meters actually remove a sample from the supply for testing and then discard anyways, it can be tested in line as it passes to the injectors) but just increase the fuel flow on a wave function of some sort. This is why the Redbull question would include the term "signal filtering".

I don't think the exact words of the query were published as they usually aren't. But FIA's response is on Motorsports' website. Queries most of the time don't mention the team in question (Ferrari in this case) unless there is strong evidence. Sport Pesa has a lot of evidence against Renault so they mentioned them and protested against their braking system. If they didn't, they would've done what Paul Monaghan did with Ferrari's fuel system and only submitted a query to clarify the rules around FFM signal filtering. This way he's basically telling Ferrari that we think you're cheating and we think you're cheating this way and here are the rules you're breaking.

I think the exact question redbull submitted would help try to piece everything together, regardless of if it mentions Ferrari or not. I want to know what they were wondering was acceptable since it seemed to be a grey area.

Race gas itself usually has a sweeter smell to it as it is. Apparently it's because of the additives. Not sure the smell thing would really have any affect on the current understanding of the alledged changes Ferrari has been using.

Or did they mention that smell only because they are actively looking for something. Once you get it in your mind that something must be going on, you start looking for excuses or the smallest things.

What if Ferrari gave all their team Jolly Rancher's candies, and so every time someone is near a stationary car, they all of a sudden also smell a sweet something nearby?

Don't forget that when the Ferrari's first started being quick, the addition of the cape was the explanation there.

Never say never, but I can't see that happening.

Several reasons:
1.He won't have the freedom at Ferrari to do in his off time what he is doing now, ie fashion, music, etc.
2. Why move from a winning team to one that is not quite up there?
3. I can't see him and CL getting along, it will be similar to his first year at Mclaren with Alonso as his team mate. We all know how that played out...
4. Why would Ferrari even be interested in him, seeing that he is at the end of his career? He probably only has another 4 years or so left. I would rather be looking at a Sainz, Verstappen, Norris,etc. Even Danny Ric would be a better bet ito longevity.

Agree one of the hot favourites for Ferrari would be Max,my choice. I just can't see Ham changing only for the sake of change and he would then be on his last rounds in F1.

Exactly..I can't only see a rod connecting the turbo to the compressor as it's only 'jet-mode' with the wheel cooling.
