lol i am early in my career so not an expert yet but working hard to become one. I am going to be walking to work so gas prices should not be much of issue. How much do you think one should be making to live comfortable there?

For me it piece of mind that if I am out and about and it snows I can make it home especially when I have my daughter in my car. Now if I had an awd or a fwd vehicle my concern wouldn’t be as great if at all. Last edited by obert; 01-10-2019 at 12:00 AM.. |

I'm a dev, and have worked directly with legit data scientists. They make good money after getting a ton of experience. I really like the outdoors that Seattle offers. If it wasn't so expensive to live there I would consider it. I live in CA so not massively different but I have roots here. |

But serious, yes it's cloudy and raining during the winter month but it's really nice during spring and summer here. It's not burning hot that you can't do anything. Winters we get done snow as well. |

Yes, 100k+ household income will allow for a well lifestyle. I would recommend looking a little bit out of Seattle (~50 miles) such as Renton, Auburn, Bellevue and others

not trying to brag or anything but my compensation is above 100 plus my wife is going to be working, so i think we are good for now. we are renting for the 1st year but will try to buy a condo or apartment after 1st year if we will like living in downtown. Or might move east and try to get a house, but i dont want to deal with commute
