There's an MMS utility too, never played with that though. I have the video camera utility ($10 license to fully open), its not bad.

I haven't spotted that one yet. My favorite so far is the Pool (which I play all the time) and the VNC servers, I can control my computer from anywhere on my network, great of when I am playing music in multiple rooms and don't want to run upstairs to change a song/playlist.

It's simple functionality that is easily coded into software, so why the hell hasn't Apple put it in? Copy/paste is more needed on a mobile device than a regular computer because it's harder to type on mobiles. I use copy/paste at least a dozen times a day on my PC.

realistically its not going to be cheaper. the price of buying and owning it will be more expencive than the previous model due to the price of the data plan and other stuff being jacked up.

I'd only get it if the monthly bill was less than my verizon bill now:

I'm paying $70 plus taxes for my plan, 500texts out of network, unlimited data, insurance, etc. for an lg voyager.

it looks like the cheapest plan you can get for the iphone 3g is $39.99+ $10 (1500 texts)+$30 data plus insurance and taxes...you're lookin at somewhere around $95

...and if you get a family plan its $60 for the lowest family plan, plus $10 to add a line, plus $30 per phone for unlimited data (at least thats the latest now)+ plus extra text messages + insurance....maybe equal to or slightly more than what I'm paying now.

plus I'd have to convince my gf to pay $70+ a month for her cell phone.....it's a tough sell in my eyes either way and to be honest it just doesn't seem worth it...I mean charging $5 for the 200 SMS that used to be included? what a rip-off....subsidy my ass.

as long as your not lining up in the city, it shouldnt be too bad.... plus they have a huge supply anyway, dont know if this is true, but my friend told me if you dont want to wait in line , AT&T can ship you the new Iphone 3G by mail on like July 19th or somthing. can someone confirm if this is true ?
