Beating Arkansas is expected. Texas A&M is higher ranked. Unlikely to get a big bump from that win assuming they win.

Beating Alabama would be big but not sure it would make A&M leapfrog over Ohio State, Louisville, Clemson and Michigan. It would mean Alabama isn't as invincible as people think, but that doesn't mean A&M would immediately be considered the best team. Ultimately, it doesn't really matter right now. Almost every team will lose along the way so what matters are records at the end of the season, including conference championships.

Yeah I don't see A&M jumping like that, even with a victory over Alabama.

But if Louisville beats Clemson next week, they could get some number 1 votes.

Other than AP, which we considered to be the "real" poll back then (since we finished first in that one) vs. coaches poll where Washington finished first. I was just trying to mess with you a bit...

We rationalized it was ok to share with Washington that year since Don James was a Hurricane alum. Now we'd be happy to share a conference title with anyone, but hoping Richt can bring the program back.

I think we'll find out more that Michigan isn't for real.... they're overrated. True test of Wisconsin will be their game against Ohio State.

UofM isn't overrated this year. They're finally a top 5 team which will prove Saturday when they make their statement they're back. You also have to remember they were good last year with essentially two losses because that loss to MSU was a huge fluke. I still can't believe how many MSU fans were talking crap after they had a .05% to win that game punting the ball away lol. This will be a good test for them but the main one will be against MSU away before the big game in Columbus.

Naturally, I will be pulling for Clemson. I'm sure their defense will prove better than FSU.

On the other hand, if they get lit up by Louisville, every team should be very worried.
