I like the screen. Doesn't bother me one bit. I really like the entire interior, best in class by far.

It looks like a CLA with a longer snout.

Not a bad thing, but unfortunately I prefer the looks of the previous generation to this one.

Ditto! That looks like trash and lacks any touch of elegance MB was known for. For this SINGLE thing, I did not cross shop any C Class or CLA when shopping for my M235i.

And I don't care for the 'make everything look like the CLS' method of design. The CLS is nice (still not my style), but it doesn't mean EVERY MB should always reflect some aspect of the CLS in it's design.

That's very interesting!

I thought so! It's also interesting to see how many features the W205 shares with the GT.

Car and Driver's take on the W205 C63:

"The days when an AMG was strictly a straight-line beast are long gone: Like its predecessor, this rear-wheel-drive—that’s right, no 4MATIC business here—performance sedan is intended to shred twisty back roads and racetracks. The multilink front and rear suspension setups have been heavily massaged to keep the car planted and body roll to a minimum. That includes a wider track, a heavy dose of aluminum, an available three-stage adjustable setup, and AMG-specific (and as-yet-unspecified) tuning. A mechanical locking rear differential is standard; the S version gets an ultraquick electronically locking diff."

"In the S [Model], the M177 rides on dynamic engine mounts like those of the AMG GT, which adjust their stiffness according to driving style to either isolate engine noise and vibration (softer) or minimize engine movement (firmer)."

We all saw that at the end of the previous generation, the C63 not only has the M3's number in a straight but on track they were neck and neck with the C63 having a bit of advantage in times. The suspension tech they are working into this generation from the AMG GT which likely comes from the SLS Black is only going to be a huge benefit. I have a feeling the M3/4 are going to be surpassed in all facets of performance and handling, not to mention a much higher quality product overall.

BMW and Audi will be paying close attention to all aspects of the new C63. After all, it will be more competent, powerful and a more quality product. BMW no longer holds the reigns in this segment. This much was apparant when MB released the 2012+ C63 with Performance Pack. In many cases the C63 Pefromance Pack outdid the "better track car" E92 M3 around the track and the C63 Black Series outdid the M3 GTS around the track as well. Goes to show how the tables have turned.

I like the w204 a lot more

the looks are far superior on the exterior, and the car has plenty of power.

but its personal since I despise the look of the new cars, and love the aggressive look of the lci w204

I agree. The new MB design language is very curvy and bulbous. It's not to say there cars look bad though. I really like how the new S class looks and the new C63 doesn'g look bad in these pics. I will fully reserve judgement till I see one in the flesh. Who knows when that will ever be though.

Putting everything aside, honest to god the engine and the exhaust note itself is worth it. Ever since I got my Eurocharged V5 tune and new AFE filters the car is even louder and downshift blips are even more aggresive. My car backfires often on downshift. It is just other wordly. Too bad the interior sound insulation is so good, it's "less" loud inside lol. Outside it a whole different story. I've starled a few passerby's walking on the sidewalk when downshifting.

If not this season, than next spring I will have to get some nice sound clips. Haven't gotten any since the tune and filters. I didn't think the car could sound better but it just did. It's bittersweet, knowing that I have one greatest NA 6.2 litre V8's ever made but also knowing that there will be no more like it if I want to get something else later on.

It may not look like in the pics, but the C AMG's front is very aggressive with a lot of presence. Life, both C AMG and M3 front compared, the AMG looks much better IMO, the M is caricatural, like aftermarket JDM tuning kit, not bad per se as a JDM fan. The problem of the C AMG is with side and rear profile IMO, not enough aggressive. Anti-wedge styling take away aggressiveness, especially on such a short car, compared to S/CLS.

The M3/M4 appeals to kids while the benz is more sophisticated looking.

Mercedes has done really well to make sure those that loved the 6.2l's noises, get at least some of that with the W205. At least it doesn't sound like this, make sure to watch the entire video. :

Got to agree. M3/4 look cheap and chintzy, especially inside. The fact that the c300/400 are of higher quality than an m3/4 despite being 20-30K cheaper says a lot.

LOL. The CLA/GLA 45 AMG turbo 4s sound better than the m3/4. Sad, but true.
