Hey there!

Just wanted to share some updates with you.
At the start of last week, the dealer reached out to let me know that production was scheduled for mid-January. I decided to send them an email asking if I could get another car during that waiting time, or I wll drop my order. After I sent that email, I got a nice surprise – my order was moved up to week 48! 😊

Just found out my 550e is on the Polaris Highway. Due in Baltimore on 11/11.

With any luck, I'm guessing delivery right before or after Thanksgiving.

That is of course assuming no holds or issues. According to the Genius, there are none currently listed.

Historically, after arrival, I've had 3 days at VPC and then 3 days trucking to dealer. We shall see.

Won't believe it till I see it!!!

There are at least two of us with 550es on that ship now. Mine will unload in Brunswick on the 16h and head to the PC. No idea how long that takes.

As some of you may remember I wrote a letter to the President of BMW Canada regarding my "missing" car. That seemed to work and a similar car to what I had ordered was located in another Province

Well.... my new alternate car arrived at my Dealer's this morning. Both recalls had been completed on the car. It still needs PDI and for the front & rear BMW cameras to be installed

My originally ordered car is, I believe, still waiting for the recall work to be completed in Germany.

There is no doubt in my mind that if I hadn't written to the President of BMW Canada directly nothing would have changed.

Both my Dealer and my Salesperson have been great through this process , and BMW Canada definately had a hand in the attractive deal that I was given.

I now have a dark grey car rather than the fancy blue I had originally ordered, it has the white vegan interior and Comfort seats which I wanted , all the options I had ordered, plus some additional options with no change in my cost.

Sometimes a well written letter goes a long way.

The car came with 20" rims and the dealership swapped those rims with a car they had in inventory that had the 19" rims I had ordered.

I have already purchased 19" rims and snow tires and they will be installed on the car.

Hopefully, other folks will be getting their cars soon.

After almost 12 weeks at the port, my I5 M60 is finally at the dealership and I may be able to pick it up today!
