But right now, from what we know SO FAR, the C8Z IS the car to get. Well if you can. 670hp, DCT, mid engine, widebody, exotic looks, V8 NA engine that sounds like exotic, backed by a full warranty. Call it 125k and there is still nothing on the market. You have yoyo's paying 140k for an M4 CSL. Ding dong's paying 90-100k for hellcats. But at 106k, GM's first supercar and people say it's a failure Can't wait to make everyone drool when i get mine. |

have you ever sat in or driven a lotus? they are more comparable to a BRZ, just with a british price tag and british reliability. but they need a japanese engine. there's a reason they are constantly on the brink of bankruptcy. no one buys them.

LOL And that's why they're going full EV sooner than later. It's the only way for them. That's why when it comes to value for performance, it's hard to take this forum seriously. Everyone has their opinions of course but some of the reasoning spewed in this thread has been in the fucking basement. Makes zero sense. Garbage. Basura. I get it that not everyone has a thing for corvettes. Whether they don't like the brand, don't like the owners, don't like the way they look or any of that stuff. But the car proves itself over and over and that's why people buy them. Corvettes have always offered an insane package in one for an affordable price. ANd with the C8Z, GM's first supercar, it will do it again, at a great price point. |

I would consider the LT6 very special. Put it right up their with any high revving engine from overseas. Where did Ferrari get with their NA V8 in 458, 597hp in the Speciale. Ferrari is generous with their hp claims too. The 670hp NA V8 LT6 with 8600 redline, is no joke. Potential to go down as one of, if not the best mass produced V8's ever made.

Really? I could afford to spend a few hundred thousand on a car. I have no idea why in the hell I would though. I love cars but frankly if I’m buying a Ferrari I’m clearing multiple millions annually not 500 to million which is frankly more than enough to afford a Ferrari.

LOL @ anyone thinking GM/CHevy is now suddenly upscale or special. Ford already did FPC in the GT350 too. GM copied the 458...a car no longer made. |

THe Emira or another Lotus? A good friend owned an Exige. You know, one of the ones with a reliable Toyota engine in it. He never had any problems with the car & I loved driving it

And to make it more blunt around justification I could walk out and buy that car in cash right now but frankly $300k invested at this stage of my young life brings me $900k in 15 years, and a fair amount of passive cash flow income between now and then and even more after the 15 years. And the whole point is at end of day if I wanted to retire at 50 I could and not change my lifestyle. Ultimately while you may be willing to spend the money not everybody is as willing to. It doesn’t exactly take a huge annual income to afford a 300k car if you are willing to mortgage some of your retirement. |

The voodoo in GT350 isn’t your traditional FPC like Ferrari V8 or LT6. Voodoo has a weird up/down/up/down crankshaft. Which has led to some reliability issues. Reason why it doesn’t sound European as well. You say copying the 458 like it is a bad thing. 458 is a car many wish still existed. Unfortunately, NA is a dying breed. GM is offering a world leading NA V8 engine. More hp than any current V10 Huracan model.
