I never articulated that logic, expressly or implicitly.

I will not fault the driver who brake-checked for the tailgating driver's wreck. Yes, he should have moved over when he had the opportunity to do so. But, the tailgating driver's wreck is his own fault, for tailgating a driver who clearly isn't too apt with driving.

Not faulting a driver =/= congratulating him.

The person being tailgated had every right to be in the lane because they were in fact passing someone. If you work on the assumption that the truck recording the video was driving the speed limit, it makes everything that much worse for the idiot who was tailgating that closely at those speeds.

The problem with your statement is that the driver who was being tailgated made the right decision to not get over as they were likely going to be merging into the same lane as the black suv entering the HWY. Staying in that lane for another 1/4 mile was the right move given the entire scenario.

Not to involve myself in your argument, but looking at the video, the car came up on him pretty quick after passing a truck, and there was merging traffic coming in from his right. While brake checking might not have been the best idea, he didn't have much room to make a safe lane change. If he was doing the speed limit, the other driver shouldn't be up his a$$.

Edit: and they were in the left lane for good reason...passing.

At 28 Seconds in the video, before the SJW f4g maneuver, he had the opportunity to move to the right without "cutting off" or endangering the merging vehicle. Yet he chose to be a dick and flash the brakes.

Unfortunately Schumacher being right behind him, driving way to close, had a mini hart attack because he saw his life flash before his eyes.

I see this bullshit all the time, I wish the cops were more proactive at enforcing the usage of the left lane, I get brake checked often when the middle lane and slow lane are free,
