That's for sure . Those people are in big financial issues .Because they lost everything !
They are still waiting for the investigations from their home insurances ...
Too much cases are going on , too much victims are screaming for help !

As we know : The home insurances won't build or buy them new homes .

The Belgian Government must now act and launch a plan of action to protect their citizens from future floodings.

As the Netherlands are probably even more vulnerable from river floodings, a mega multi billion euro program called 'room for the river' was commissioned and finalised recently. I think it gives us much more protection. I guess we all need to be ready for extreme situations!

I agree completely !
Over here in Belgium , It's mainly the rivers : Meuse , Ourthe ,Lesse ,Vesder, ect..
In the previous summer seasons it was the extreme heat , drought and dust .
Everything was burned by the sun and we prayed for rain and to get even more rain !
This year that changed completely . One month ago we got 2 supercell tornados in the Belgian Ardennes .
The tornados wiped out entire villages ...And now the water is there with crazy floodings !
What ? Tornados and floodings in Belgium ?
Yeah , that's for sure !

You guys in the Netherlands build the Delta-Works .
The Delta-Works is a series of construction projects in the Southwest of the Netherlands to protect a large area of land around the Rhine-Meuse-Scheldt delta from the sea.
As your land-level is below the sea-level . The Delta-Works were really necessary regarding the Dutch floodings of 1953 .
Even today the Delta looks really amazing . It's a great job !

Actually, the Ardennes is a wild and formidable forest. It might look like a small area for people from the US, Canada, Australia or Russia but boy it is rough and unpredictable.
In my younger days I did an extensive survival training here and I learned to respect the forest. During some deep canyoning I even freaked out. It took the guides an hour to get me to the surface. I was literally frozen in a pitch-black underground tunnel with an only max. 3 feet high ceiling.
It was a good humbling experience for my big ego though.

You should go for it as well , but just be 'very carefull It's big ,very deep and cold .
