I've tried to watch baseball. And I have a ton of Mariners gear- and I'll wear them to rep the city more than the team, but I can't even bring myself to watching them. Maybe cause they suck and no one likes losing. ESPN app is as far as my fan support goes for them, and I'll admit it- when it comes to the Mariners- I am as fair weather as they get. But I just love my city so much that I'll put up with their losing ways

Key is multitasking between the pitch.
I am watching a F1 rerun to catch up right now while posting here. Huge F1, PGA, and MLB fan, but I need to multitask. Quote:

UNC and Duke are powerhouse for Basketball.
Only time my school ever was OKAY at best at Basketball is when Chauncey Billups was playing. We knew Billups will go to NBA since he was playing Varsity at GWHS. We been suck after for years and years. |

I thought until last spring Michal Jackson's nipple was the cause of the scandal. That my friend is the extent of my knowledge of popular sports. I was very sorry to learn he died, he gave me many Anna moments, including one which has saved me from family religious moments later. "Michael Jackson is Jesus? he also likes touching babies" said in my first kiddos christening out loud (my near relatives have no kids or hope to get any, and if my kids going through some water on them can help them to forgive me for having them, I'm in), while everyone else was quiet was not one of my best moves.

Um, I watch Evgeni Plushenko,
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evgeni_Plushenko He did this line (vocabulary zero here again, sorry) abt 15 years ago. I spent 8 months learning to repeat it (sure on roller skates), and the best I could do was to triple his time. On ice, it was easier and faster. As in 2x his time (missing a few steps). Every time I get skates on, I still repeat his tricks. Then I had the muscles, now I end up with bruises.

I first thought he was Ukrainian , until i click the link.
I remember you use to figure skate. I've heard from some ice hockey players that it is not easy. I gave up Ice Hockey during highschool. My parents spent $600+ (at that time, rent for 1bdrm apartment in West LA was ~600ish) worth of equipment for me, and I failed myself. After playing blade hockey with lots of people gave me an impression that I was good. BOY I was really wrong.... Quote:

The only tape I have of me doing my thing on ice seems so stiff. I honestly can say I never liked the sport. Rollerblades were my freedom. You can't do all the same tricks as on ice for the pure fear of injuries, but I can actually say, that the age of 18, I was epic. When I hit the ramps, I was golden because I had the body control. On pure pavement I could do all jumps. With asphalt speeds doubles mainly. Now, my knees don't work well, me ankles are shot, the left so much worse than the right. My back injuries (I'm not even sure if it's the memory of pain or just the physical hits)shoulders, a few head injuries and after two years I went skating a few weeks ago. It was like 3 miles. Hahhahaa. I did in my days 30 per days. Ego busted.

You know, thisis funny story. When I first started roller blading, my purpose was to play blade hockey. I had real hard time stopping fast like ice skate. When we play blade hockey, we played inside the tennis court. They had all the fences, so we can check people. I had to check people at a fence area just to stop on time. Not that I like to check people, but I had to do that to stop. Quote:
Very true. Not that I will really be going to Lambo dealership even if I had $. I have different preferences. hehehehehe Yeah, no lease for me. About ~10yrs ago, my wife wanted Jetta. We leased 2yr lease, and we returned it without any problem. I actually love leasing the car, as long as they got a great residual and money factor. However, my wife doesn't. She said it is glorified rental. Funny Chris Harris video. |
