I get my "cheaters" at Costco. It's something like $20 for 3 pairs.

Definitely worth it. Get a lanyard, keep them around your neck and you're good to go.

the right front corner of our year old GLK.
Back in my younger days, I rented a one-car garage at work to store whichever of my two cars I wasn't driving. During the summer, I hung the hard top for my Jeep CJ7 from the rafters with ratchet straps, and would park my VW GTI under it during the week and the daily driver Jeep under it on the weekends. I kept some of my race paddock gear against the back wall.

One evening after dark, I parked the GTI outside the garage door with its headlights shining into the garage while I went inside to get something from the paddock gear. I needed an extra foot of space, so I popped the Jeep into neutral and started to roll it backwards. TL;dr I cracked my head on the hard top hanging from the rafters, and was on the floor bleeding from my skull as the Jeep rolled backwards through the door and whacked my GTI hard enough to break a headlight bucket and make obvious dents in the hood and front fender.

No way was I going to submit an insurance claim for that one, because no adjuster would believe that two driverless cars collided with each other and the owner of both cars was injured in the incident.....

I filed a claim for both cars as the sheet metal damage was pretty bad. Their
insurance adjuster called me and I explained exactly what happened. After a
few moments he read back his version of the incident that included, “driver
lost control of his car.” I replied, “no way, I wasn’t sitting in either car.” He
finally rephrased the description accurately. You have to really watch those
ba$tards or they will use a bad report against you in the future. Having said
that, that was only the 2nd time in my life I’ve ever filed a claim. The first
one was over 35 years ago when an uninsured drunk driver rear-ended our
Maxima and totalled it.

Does someone calling you an 'old soul' classify as a you know you're old...when your age and face feels like you just passed primary school compared to others...?

On a more serious note, you know you're old when your best friend of 54 years dies suddenly of a brain hemorrhage.

Sorry for loss, Larry. I know the feeling. Our wonderful nextdoor neighbor
passed away 2 days before Christmas. Pancreatic cancer. Age 58. I could
go on. This is the downside to living to a ripe old age. 😢

I'm old enough to have been threatened with, but never had my mouth washed out with soap. I was told I could use that language at school with my friends, but not at home.

****Wow. That's pretty old I guess!

I've only ever had girlfriends talk dirty to me, and often ordering me into the bedroom or dragging me there. Sometimes I got dinner and drinks beforehand too! Sometimes even home cooked!

At first I thought maybe they had Tourette's Syndrome or something, talking all dirty like that, but it only seemed to happen in private, and then the next morning after a very restful sleep and sound sleep from all of the activity, they were normal again! - so I figured some activity and a good nights sleep afterwards cured it - at least for awhile.
