In the vid it's stated that roughly 40% of the cost of building a full EV is in the battery with a much higher price than with a comparable gas powered vehicle, so with Chinese production set to be inherently cheaper its no wonder US and European EV production is faltering and being cut.

First of all, I would like to apologize to Tesla Cybertruck owners. Y’all have been through enough! You can’t go anywhere without people harassing you, the carwash could brick your truck, the accelerator pedal is faulty, etc. Now on top of all that, Raccoons are attracted to the Tesla Cybertruck.

It’s an unspoken fact that raccoons are the undisputed connoisseurs of all things luxurious and fine. These furry sophisticates don’t just rummage... they curate. And when they lay their glittering eyes on a Cybertruck, their impeccable instincts scream, “This is the vault of opulence!” After all, anyone bold enough to drive a Cybertruck clearly possesses a refined palate for the creme de la creme of life’s offerings. Naturally, our little tastemakers rightfully assume that within it lies nothing less than the ultimate jackpot. Cybertruck owners should be honored to have been chosen by these discerning critters! ![]() |

Cybertrucks seem to be city vehicles for urban cowboys. Lots of dumpsters in cities, and lots of raccoons getting into trash. We had racoons in Washington, DC when I was a kid and with few predators and plenty of trash their numbers have grown. Deer as well.

Perhaps EV are not as simple and less expensive to manufacture and repair than an ICEV equivalent. |

Tesla $450ish a share.
He is literally jumping up and down in his Occupy Mars t-shirt on a shekel mountain. Peeking at a half a trilsky net worth. ...didn't Creepster Gates short Tesla in a big way?

And we're concerned about fires, but are happy to put highly flammable compressed gas into tanks and drive around with them, not concerned that accidents or poor maintenance could create explosive reactions? The consequences of hydrogen failures are significantly more sudden and dangerous. A big no effing thank you from this EV driver. |

Then I got an EV and charge at home... I don't care about any of the other downsides of hydrogen (which there are a lot)... the fact I can't fill up my hydrogen car at home is reason enough for me to skip it. |

Also hydrogen isn’t exactly cheap. I have a coworker with mirai. It costs 150-200 to fill up, but Toyota currently covers that cost during the lease. Roughly 300 miles of range according to her. The worst part is there was a hydrogen station in near that person’s house. It since closed and now that person has to drive much further just to fill up.
