Um...what? So Duval crashes on the 11th and by this morning, the 12th they had the car rebuilt? That's amazing. While the car is rebuilt, Duval will be out for precautionary means. He will be replaced by backup driver Marc Gene. This was NOT a spare chassis or an additional car. They rebuilt Duval's Audi overnight.

IMO the real hero of Endurance race are the mechanics and engineers. They work flat out before the race and practice sessions to prepare and set up the car. Then stand by during the entire race, then have to pack up afterwards.

They could've been working for several days and nights non stop.

Do they have groups and shifts to take over so some can catch some decent sleep hours?

I do agree they really are the unsung heros of the race!

Well, another day another crash..this one also happened in the Porsche curves. It is the V8 Vantage from Craft-Bamboo Racing (#99)

Toyota and Porsche seem to be evenly matched but the fastest Audi is ~1.5 seconds off. Over a 24hr period, that could grow quite a lot. Reliability will be key.

Sandbagging is always a factor. Although a lot more prevalent in the GT classes.

Although the announcers are the complete opposite of camera shy...

Frankly they need to keep the studio OUT of the coverage--they can speak all they want in the background, but just show the action for crying out loud!
