"...We're very familiar with the GT-R Track, having run it at last year's 2013 Best Driver's Car, where it placed sixth out of 12. This flavor of Godzilla comes packing a twin-turbo 3.8-liter V-6 good for 545 hp and 463 lb-ft of torque. The new Turbo S is (somehow) even more potent, as its twin-turbo, 3.8-liter boxer-six summons up an impressive 560 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. However, there's an overboost mode between 2200 and 4000 rpm that allows the Turbo S to generate 553 lb-ft of twisting force for short bursts. The Z/28 packs GM's familiar and fantastic hand-built LS7 lifted straight out of the C6 Z06, a 7.0-liter small-block pushrod V-8 that's good for 505 hp and 481 lb-ft..."
You compared it to a C2S. C2S is not a Tts. Who's barely passable as a fucking retard with a cheesedick?

Tts isn't a track car either. Still a 'refined' GT.

Mhmm. 911 S.

Think about it.

911 Carrera S. 911 Carrera 4S. 911 Targa S. The list goes on. Fuck if I know what you meant...but I assumed C2S, seeing as that's the only one remotely close to the R35 in price. And for all I know...you could have been referencing a 930 or 964.

Learn out to be more specific.

I copied and pasted the article - you can clearly see what car it is......

either way - BOTH the 911S and the GT-R Track Edition got beat by a Camaro.....

...............a Camaro that makes LESS POWER.......

hhmmm, I think the majority of people would think the GTR is more pimp...

but real car enthusiasts would flock to the Z28 because it's more rare than the GTR...like at a car meet or car show.....

everyone has been in and seen a GTR, but since the Z28 is so new, you'd be surprised how many different people would flock to it to check it out.....

from a distance though cruising into a nice restaurant, the GTR and Porsche would definitely get the stares....

And you just lost all credibility......

Top Gear is an entertainment show. Their anti-American shenanigans is part of what the makes the show so great, but don't believe anything on that show.
+1, they are auto journalists, but the show is more entertainment than auto journalism. Regardless,I love that show!

If you're talking about out on the street, I say the GTR will catch more attention. The Porsche and camaro will come off as just another Porsche or camaro to the normal person. Auto enthusiasts are obviously a different scenario.

Personally, I think the GT-R would get the most attention. Everyone and their dog has seen the 911 a million times, and unless it's a GT3 RS, not too many would give it a second glance. Same with the Camaro.

The fuck is a 911 S.

There is no 911 S.

There is a Carrera S, a Turbo S, and soon to be a GT3 RS. Maybe even a GT2 RS.

I'd still take the 911 'S.' (turbo) I'd rather be encased by a comfy shell of speed than deal with the hardcore-ness of the Camaro track car. And it picks up chicks.

If I wanted a straight-out track car...I'd strip down my E90 M3 and make one. For <70k. Or I'd get a C7.

Honestly depends. Where I live...shitload of V6 and SS Camaros. Porsches are pretty stylish, and emit a calm sort of attractiveness. GTRs are also pretty attractive, but in the brutish way. Both of them are rare here, so, not much of a comparison.

*Though all other Porsches (Cayenne, esp) and Nissans can be had in thousands...

like how the 5.0 runs around the track as good an an M3 !?!?

you mean that one !?!? you mean the $37K 5.0 Mustang that are driven by people wearing Affliction shirts with Famous hats !?!?

that car is just as fast around a track as the $60k+ M3 !?!? cool !!!!!

yeah, I think you're referring to that one......

or...
Or....
OR..........

you're probably referring to the Z28 Camaro that beat two of the most iconic track cars of our time, a 2014 Porsche 911S and 2014 Nissan GT-R Track Edition....

that Camaro beat both cars at Barber Motorsports Park DESPITE having less HP, less torque and being RWD - Randy Pobst test driving all 3 cars...

so yeah, you were probably referring to either of those cars.........just sayin bruh, don't be mad......
k here's the post I disagreed with.

I don't see a link here, not until the second post.

And I still wouldn't classify the 911s, turbo or carrera, as a track car. GT3 all the way.

Thought this might help...

I almost bought a Panamera GTS once so in the process I ended up learning this stuff. Had no idea about any of it before... (ok I knew "Turbo" was the expensive one!)

I think the pecking order is 911 Carrera < 911 Carrera S < 911 Turbo < 911 Turbo S (Turbo S being the big dog)

The models that have a 4 in them refers to "4 wheel drive", so subtle but really I had no idea about it.

Not sure where the GT3 fits, probably parallel to the Turbo since it's a different focus (track for GT3 vs. GT for the turbo).

Either way, the Turbo S is the top dog of any Porsche model lineup.

Hope this was informative as it was for me first time learning all this crap.

The new Camaro is good looking, and runs like a raped ape. However, my gripes with it are: small windows/visibility sucks. It's too large. As in the size of a damn house. They weight 9,000 #. Aside from that, I'm OK with them. But regardless, in 10yrs, they will all be outside on blocks, rear jacked up, out front in trailer parks. They are Willard mobiles. The BMW's have a more normal, civilized, 4 door side that still get good MPG's. I guess the BMW is just the more grownup choice. 4 door M5, 4 door M3 or even a E90 335i tuned up. 4 doors, practical, good visibility and not the size of a house. Has anyone seen a 5'-0" women sitting in a Camaro? They can't even see over the wheel. My aunt who retired from GM tried to buy a V6 Conv. Bought a Nissan Z car b/c she should actually see out of it and drive it. Nothing new with GM.... they don't look at the whole picture. and I'm sure the interior will be junk in 5yrs. Every GM car I've seen turns out that way. Sagging headliners, door panels falling apart, cracked dashes etc. GM makes Camaros, full size trucks and SUV's, for the dumbed down American market.

Since when is a 335i a base model 3-series? That would be a 316i.
