Why does the weight listed on the receipts perfectly match the weight of a complete brake set? Why did you wait before filing a claim? Why didn't you reject the shipment if they were damaged to the point where the boxes were falling apart? Did he substitute one of the "missing" calipers with rocks to make the weight match? How can you possibly explain that? |

All 6 boxes took several days to arrive. Our mailman just drops our packages on the front door step. All of the packages did not arrive at once. And the damage to the boxes did not look like they could have had parts fall through them. It is missing an entire rear caliper. M3 rear calipers aren't exactly small and none of the boxes had big enough holes for a caliper to exit the box through. I don't know who is truly at fault here. The OP or USPS. |

Maybe you can explain how a whole rear caliper unbolted itself from its carrier and disappeared.. |

Sure, I can provide an explanation: you took it off. Here is what we know: 1. You were not sure if the brakes would fit on your car. You ordered them knowing this. 2. The OP shipped boxes containing the proper weights for the complete rotor and caliper set. 3. You stated that you received all six boxes 4. You stated that the holes in the boxes were not big enough for a caliper to fall out 5. The brakes won't fit on your car 6. You file a dispute with Paypal without so much as even asking the OP where the rest of the parts are, and without filing an insurance claim with USPS 7. You cannot provide an explanation why the shipping weights match, or where the caliper could have gone other than you taking it off yourself. I have no proof either way, maybe the OP is trying to scam you. But he has posted tons of proof, and you have responded with nothing but attitude and without a shred of evidence. Do you understand why this looks bad for you? |

2. Well, I did not receive a complete rotor and caliper set 3. Correct. 4. Also correct. 5. I don't know this yet as I have not tried to put them on said car yet. 6. My dad is going to have to chime in on that. IIRC each box was insured for $50. Well under the value of each box's contents. 7. I did not remove the caliper. I don't even know what size wrench to use to take it off as I do not own an M3. Heck, I don't even know what size they are on my 328. Look at it from my point of view. OP says he shipped a complete set of brakes. You receive an incomplete set of brakes. See how it looks bad on either the OP or USPS? |

I am also fearing for my own personal safety and for the safety of my parents due to the OP creating this thread here on e90post (and on other bimmer forums).
Why did the OP feel the need to make this a PUBLIC matter and open the door for ill-advised vigilante actions against me, my dad, my mom, the house, the cars, etc? See where I'm coming from now and why I'm so pissed off? |

Anyone on here own a newer black Lexus GX or LX SUV? One was parked across from my house at the end of the cul-de-sac with its headlights on pointed at my neighbor's house.. He beat feet as soon as he saw me walking to my BMW.
I will stay up all night guarding the house if I have to. |

I'll have my dad respond to this question and any similar questions as he knows every detail of the transaction from start to finish and therefore knows more about exactly what happened in regards to emails and paypal than I do.

I suggest everyone to read, and re-read the responses on both sides as it reveals who the liar is. And I'm not simply talking about factual information that they claim to actually be factual, but also the way in which each person talks or responds to comments.

Just noticed that the OP's last post was on 04-03-2014 at 05:54 PM. Nothing from him since. It is now 04-05-2014 at 3:11am and I found out about this thread on 04-05-2014 at 11:42pm and have been on this thread like a hawk ever since.. You would think that he would be on top of this thread more than I am.....
Heck. I even noticed a suspicious car outside of my house around 1:40am that promptly left the second the driver notice me walking down the driveway.. Talk about hyper-vigilant lmao This is partially in response to what -Wingman- posted. |

Opening a paypal dispute without first talking to the seller and then refuse all communications. And you are surprised op blasted you on the forum? You got exactly what you asked for.

For the record, the decision was made to purchase the brakes from the OP because we wanted low mileage genuine OEM BMW parts. Not the Centric replacement parts. And the stuff is WAY too expensive to buy new from the stealership.
I was hoping to get a complete kit that I could mess around with and more-or-less bolt onto my 328 as I am looking for a cheaper alternative to either the BMW Performance front upgraded brake kit or a Brembo or Stoptech or equivalent BBK. 3k+ for brakes is a little too high for my dad and my blood. We saw the original FS thread (thread here) and thought "Let's see if this guy still has this." (since the thread was a few months old). We took a risk on the OP and now here we are. I don't have a complete kit. OP says he shipped a complete kit. OP decided to make this a public discussion. |

If I could log into my dad's email I'd post a picture of the email Paypal sent him specifically saying to NOT contact the seller... I'll have to wait till he wakes up.

You just don't get it do you? You see, buyer should bring the issue to the seller BEFORE opening a dispute. At least that's what decent people do.

Seller shouldn't have created this thread to whine about his butt hurting and drag me into the crosshairs. I haven't logged into this forum for MONTHS before today because I was sick of all the elitist 335 owners and the lack of progress on Gavin's supercharger kit for the 328. And now I'm stuck dealing with this BS all the way to 4am while also dealing with some psycho stalker in a Lexus thanks to the OP. |

I am still dealing with this headache, and if you clearly see this post HERE it doesn't make sense NOT to send everything pictured. What the heck would I do with 1/2 a caliper and a couple pads? This doesn't add up! Check the weights I clearly posted on the 1st page of the receipt. Look up the weights by part number at your dealership and you'll clearly see that everything adds up to what I sent. It was also stated by the source that NO OTHER material was sent to add up fictitious weight. Please explain this.. Justin

I should've just convinced my dad to buy all Centric pieces from RockAuto. The extra $600-800 would've been worth it to avoid all this annoying bs. I'm tempted to just throw this useless kit in my Jeep, extend my trip to Moab and drive 12hours out of my way (one way mind you. so 24hours total out of my way) to hand deliver the pieces I received (3 calipers, 1 caliper carrier, 5 brake pads, and 4 rotors) to Up & Beyond Videography and Photography where you work. Or I could drop it off at your house. Take your pick since a 25 minute drive up I-5 would be nothing to me at that point. As I posted before, here is a pic of the pieces I received. [/URL] |
