Front wheel drive a negative - leaving only Saab and Acura with this configuration. Now in its seventh generation - a model that may soon go the way of the DoDo after the S-version (as leaked by Honda).
All that work and expense on an outdated platform could have been better spent. Eberhard Last edited by Eberhard; 11-02-2007 at 10:46 PM.. |

I don't think the TL is going anywhere. Its the second best selling car in its class.

Should've used the money for the paint job for some nice wheels.
The body kit is nice, but other than that..the car is weak. LOL at the guys trashing the TL for being FWD. Who cares what drive train it has, if it looks good, it looks good. |

I like Honda/Acuras for what they are but I'm a automobile fanatic. My next car will be BMW. They are much more fun to drive.

Moved-up to an Acura Legend in 1990 (V6. auto in silver metallic). The car was essentially re-badged in three years with minor changes and marketed as a Honda Accord. I put 250,000 miles on that car – had to replace the transmission at around 180,000 miles. Purchased one of the sleek looking 2004 Accord Coupes (light tan V6/NAVI), shod it with a set of BBS RGR wheels and Bridgestone Potenzas and got side-swiped mid day by a drunk driver traveling in the opposite direction on a 40 mph residential street four months from the purchase. Pushed me into the rear of a nice Ford F150 pick-up parked on the curb which I sent four feet to the right resting on the sidewalk at 90 degrees clockwise on the passenger’s door.. I walked away without a single scratch – both vehicles were totaled – the impaired driver was arrested for his fourth DUI (State Prison time here in California - one year if I recall). Replaced the coupe and the one shattered BBS wheel/tire with an identical model within a few weeks. Totaled Accord Coupe II three months ago when rear-ended at a stop-light by an undocumented alien with no license or insurance (or brake lining). So I figured it was time to move-up to a loaded BMW 335i coupe, which is due at my dealership within two weeks (Monaco Blue, Cream Dakota, Stepronic.etc). And I was indeed referring to Honds/Acura’s revised TL – bet it is rear-wheel drive. All the best, Eberhard PS: a few of my six cylinder 1979/1980 two wheeled Hondas: Last edited by Eberhard; 11-04-2007 at 08:35 PM.. |
