-HR class that's boring as fuck. It's all common sense.
-International environment of business class - name is no indication of what the class is about; teacher is so fucking boring I want to put a gun in my mouth.
-Supply chain management - helpful to know the math behind it all, surprisingly a useful class.
-Creativity and Innovation - lol what a fucking joke, teacher hasn't done anything successful as an entrepreneur and the class is about telling me how you are supposed to think creatively. Fucking load of shyte. Teach me the process of what to do after I have a fucking idea and need to get the ball rolling. Teach me something fucking useful.

And the school has a well known business program? Personally, I dont think college prepares students much for the real world just as most high schools dont prepare students for college.

Cool. We had a supposedly great business school where I went to undergrad. Full of ass clowns in my opinion.

If any of you think college is hard, then you haven't heard my stories. And geniuses in your school, let me start just by saying, I thought I was a genius until I met my peers. Look at me up at 5:43 doing these problem sets due in 4 hours. And, i'm not even halfway done, can't even think straight anymore.

Bite your tongue... Everyone who has college in their rear view is jealous that you are still there... You think I can just re-do a deal that falls through if I don't get 80%? Enjoy a life of little to no consequences while you still can.

I'll be the first to admit the work is different... but I promise you I had less free time than you did. At least most (if not all) of your course work has tangible/objective answers. Design coursework is really really subjective. As an example you work your ass of night and day for two months on a project and then when you are at your review you get a failing grade from one of the professors because he just didn't like the color you had chosen. No explanation why he did't like it... he just doesn't. You study for a bio or chem test and the answers are in the book, so you put the work in (as hard as it may be) and you theoretically should get the grade. Someone like me puts the work in and the grade is still very much up in the air.

The idea of being able to participate in any kind of sport/be in any kind of extra curricular activity was simply a lost cause for people in my major. I'm sure you are running with a scholarship, so I understand why you are doing it and how it's making your life difficult. But to me as an outsider you running track is an elective cause and not something that's out of your control/required by your major (IE, something you can technically remove from the equation if it is making your life challenging).

It's a nice sentiment to think that life will be easier, but you are a bit young and naive, so I'll just say good luck with that.

Honestly, the work/process itself is no different.. it's the stakes that that are insanely elevated now. Before it was stressful because the paint on my model wasn't dry enough before my review, now it's that my freight forwarder at the port of Long Beach is calling me at 2AM telling me that the 3 million dollars worth of freight I have on the container ship won't be allowed into the country unless I can get the proper paperwork from China (who was supposed to have sent it already). And every hour we're delayed is a $10,000.00 fine.

In all seriousness though, as it's been mentioned it is what you make of it... and good time management is critical. The difficulty in college is a sliding scale because all things are different to each of us. So unless we are in the same school with the same major with the same course/activity loads we are all just comparing apples to oranges.

You are working your ass off. I worked my ass off. The OP is working his ass off. You just have to work at it... just don't forget to have some fun while you are doing it.

I'm sorry but first of all I'm not on a scholarship because ivy league schools don't give sport scholarships. I did get recruited though. And I run track because I love it.

Also, no offense but I find it hilarious that you actually think that some silly design school is harder than one of the hardest majors at the top school in the country. It is the top school for a reason. And btw I'm getting a minor in architecture so I know all about those models and that stuff is all way easier than sciences. And I am not naive at all. When I'm out of med school and making easily 6 figures with no student loans to pay off, you can trust me to be relaxing way more than I do now.

And I'll repeat what I said before, if you're working harder now, you either are not that good at your job and low on the ladder of importance in your firm OR you just didn't work that hard in college (which I doubt because you keep saying how it took you 3 months to do one project lol)

I did not go to college. But I do get paid like if I had a 4-6 year degree. The company I work for pays 100% for up to a masters degree in anything that relates to business. I just can't justify it. Go to college for free while working full time to get paid the same? I started here when I was 20 and now I'm 27. Job security here is for a lifetime. Been open since 1932 and has never laid off a soul.

LOL... at you showing your age.

You sure you are pre-med? Just taking everything at face value if I had to guess I'd say you were pre-law and destined for politics. With the attitude that you'll be making six figures and not having to work for it, I can't think of better profession to give you the ability to shout from the mountain tops with so much gusto/arrogance that you are the best without any real evidence that it’s true. I mean you are good at it… or at least good at acting like it (perfect for politics). If med school doesn't work out you should really look into it IMO...

Or maybe it’s just one of those self affirmation things where if you tell yourself enough that it will happen it actually does?

Also the egregious use of Best/Top/Hardest/Princeton/etc. as holding some kind of superiority over me (without provocation mind you) all while belittling my education with no evidence of who I am or what I do is proof of my initial thoughts about you and is what is so laughable about the youth in this country. You'd be best served keeping your nose in the books and out of here lest you stop the American Fantasy that so many kids are living these days. You have a long way to go my friend… a long_fucking_way… both in school and in maturation level and I hope for your sake, it all works out for you.

Clearly at some point someone in your family had to actually work to get what they wanted... sad how quickly that kind of commitment is forgotten and all is taken for granted.

Here's to you attempting to not fuck up your elders legacy.

just wow...you have no clue, none of us who are in school really do, but at least most of us will admit it.

All of us who are in school expect to be wildly successful once we get out. Partly it's because we actually think we're smart. But it's also because we think that if we believe something will come true, it will. But you should keep that optimism to your self, no one else actually cares, and you just end up looking like a total douche.
