Domo, can you post some pics of your car in brighter light. And some close ups of the paint? I'm shopping one (er, it's actually that specific car in your avatar and other pics you've posted), and the color seems radically different in overcast diffuse light versus bright sun.

What options do you have? Do you also have the rod antennae option? I'm not sure I like that (only good for AM) and wonder if one can take it off without an issue.

Do you know how many Baltic paint to samples in the 997TT were exported to NA as 2008 models? What's your build date? Where did you find it? Thanks.

I don't think any of us mind. Now go on and prove to us that you didn't just get fucking owned up the ass for pretending you have a car that you really don't, over the internet. If I were a mod, I would ban you this second for being this pathetic.

Ofcourse unless you can prove that you really have the car

Is that all you have to say? Thread derailment? Not that it matters now but do you think a new thread devoted to this car and it's whereabouts is needed?

OP will/would have chimed in if upset with the turn of subject matter. GP, let us know.

If you have a Baltic TT then but the posts you made show a car that is being shown at a store in NY. We are the ones in the wrong? I have copied lust cars on my sig but...

Razzy. What's with the language?

I was interested in this car over a week ago and posted on a Porsche forum if anyone knew the car. So you can understand my surprise when I come on e90post and see the car being used as somebody's avatar and a pic of the car posted by them on another thread.

I asked Domo (earlier in this thread) if he could provide any info about the car. I thought maybe he had just bought it, or was selling it, or had it on consignment

Plus if I had one and somebody else was thinking of buying one, I would certainly help them out and answer questions, etc.. Or at least just tell them about my car (the bad, the good, etc..)

There are very few Baltic Blue 2008 997TTs. It may even be the only one in NA (Domo can you post your VIN and build date; this info is always helpful and Porsche owners are a tight group and like to share this stuff. Are you a PCA member?)

Anyway, the color is a lot different in bright light. It's much more metallic, too. Here is the same exact car in bright light. The pics come directly from the previous owner of the car. It's really different looking. Note it also has a rod antennae which I'm not sure I like (not a big deal, though.)

I like that color. Seems to change from lighthearted in the sun, to more ominous witho overcast. It's a good color.

Yep, it's certainly different in various lighting conditions. The car has no stories, it's well-documented.

But I'm totally perplexed why Domobrown would use this very car as his, in both his avatar and in another picture he posted of his car. I'd like to know if this car is definitely a one-off in NA. If not, I'd like to see (real) pics of another 2008 Baltic Blue 997TT.

GreenPlease; it has been taken over by us aliens.

I like the color because of it's uniqueness. IF you get it I would consider a trip to a quality paint shop around Malibu for the sides and maybe lip if you are not a scratchy el' curb guy. The dull black kind of mushes up this color IMO.

domo. I don't hold anything against you. It is all over this place and any forum all the way to guns etc. If there is a reasonable reason for "it" I would think about posting. If not, hey whatever churns your butter.

It's just that when a Porsche owner (like me) and a PCA member (like me), is seriously shopping another car, then owners tend to chime in and help. Especially on a unique one like this. And especially if they own one just like it themselves. It's a pretty tight group (at least among long time owners.)

Anyway, this car has no stories, I've had nice help from others on Porsche forums (one who knows the car.) Previous owner is mature, long time owner of Porsches. It's a nice sample. Working with Roslyn Porsche (where it was traded in) is easy; very up front staff, no hard sale, top notch dealership. A little tough logistically for me since I'm on the West Coast and the car is on the East Coast.

If I don't end up with it, it's a very good specimen for somebody.

Anyway, i love expensive Mercs but depreciation is unbelievable. Even if you are immensely wealthy to not mind, it just seems wasteful. Porsche is it for me as far as fun transportation goes.

I am pretty sure you are safe unless avatars make it less special.

BTW. I snagged this last night. Here is a pic of my new baby at the auction where I bought it. Sorry for the crappy angle. I was and am still drunk.

Y'all likey? I thought it would go well with my hair and most of my clothes. BurP...

If I end up with the car, then I think that I could at least maybe charge two bucks or so per day for use of that avatar, right? Doesn't it become mine? I mean geez, I have spend close to $100k for that damn avatar? And that's all I really want in life, an avatar. We are our avatars, as Ghandi once said.

Gonzo, that pic you posted, WTF? That's me (the tall guy with the longish hair) in the background. I don't remember seeing you there. I'm calling
