Is it possible that the changes take a day or two to get fully activated and operational? I think I recall reading something like that in another thread.

Hmm. Maybe have your dealer reach out to BMW Rockville to see what they need to maybe further do. My dealer didn’t tell me more than they got it to work and did the update. Perhaps they did something else as well. But my PA Pro said activated when I got the car back and the app remote control parking worked the moment I approached the car.

Tried with it some more today. Simply will not work. Shows are activated in Connected Drive store in iDrive.

I do not get the option to continue in MyBMW on the screen and whenever I try in the app it it waits for parking maneuvers for a bit and then says it is canceled.

I'm having this same issue in my i5 M60. I can record new paths but cannot use the app to do maneuvers outside of the car. I have a ticket open with BMW - probably also going to have to visit the dealer.

Well I got my car back and was updated to the newest software. And still remote parking doesn’t work. I removed app and profile still nothing. It’s says it’s activated. Any ideas?

I had problems at first while using the remote parking. In my case it was an app running in the back ground on my phone which kept on cancelling the maneuver. I say try closing all back ground apps and trying.

I can't seems to find this PA Pro option at all. I checked the Connected Drive Store from the iDrive and also from the Phone / PC and this option is no where to be found. Any idea if they yanked it due to so many issues with it. Have the Connected Drive Set up properly, Digital Key Plus is active, but I don't see any option for Remote Parking, or Path Recording.
Any one have any ideas?

Do you have parking assistant plus? I believe you need that option from the factory before you can upgrade to professional.

I'm having the same issue, I have parking assistant plus but can't find the professional subscription in the store. I'm on .47 software version. I'm going to talk to the dealer on Monday and see if we can figure it out.

So this may or may not be a light at the end of the tunnel (or parking spot).

I also purchased a new X7. Once it arrived there was a stop sale to fix…you guessed it…the remote parking!

I was just told yesterday there is a software fix for the stop sale on the X7. So maybe this means a fix is coming for our i5’s that the feature is not working on.

Just want to mention the entire parking system in this car seems to be having issues. When I pull in to my garage sometimes the sensors pop on, sometimes they don’t. When Im leaving my driving it seems to be asking me if I’m parking even though I’m already going down my street. It’s just buggy. Hope they get it worked out.

I'm not surprised. looks like if you already have the Parking assistance pro installed and renewed you can at least use remote parking . but for me I couldn't even renew the app and it's currently off the app store for everyone .


And do you need to have Parking assistance pro installed installed and active to
use remote parking right? because I didi have the option on my phone now it's
gone

Yeah I put a ticket in they 7-10 days whatever the are aware of the issue hopefully they will get it worked out soon

"Vehicle is not equipped with the necessary technology to have Parking Assistant Professional available. There is no upgrade or retrofit available."

I'm a bit confused as I'm seeing people who purchased it as an over-the-air upgrade on their US spec i5. Is there another hardware component that might be missing from my car that would prevent me from upgrading?

Does not appear to be correct as i5 owners have been able to upgrade from plus to professional, although there have been issues for some getting it to actually work. There was a theory it was taken off the Connected Drive store to address these issues. I would press them on exactly what "technology" is missing.
