Don’t see it on the build sheet but was told it was on the ordering guide…

I was able to order my 530i in June and was delivered in October. I was able to add the ambient lighting/interaction bar option with no problem. You have to make sure add the 4UR option.

Are you located in the US? The interaction bar shortage for the 530i is only restricted to the US I believe.

Im in Korea because I’m military, but the car is a US spec ordered through BMW military and diplomatic sales. Maybe I was just lucky to get my order and production date in prior to the shortage.

I definitely recommend that people wait until they are able to get the interaction bar tho. Especially how it’s no extra cost.

Correct, it was available until 11/23 and then they moved the SOP for 4UR to 3/24. I was waiting on Vegas Red color availability; otherwise, I would have ordered back in October.

Anyways, it will come back.

Do you mind taking more interior pictures? Btw I'm going with the same burgundy seats. Would love to see more pics of it

still no sign of reaction bar as of of this morning, according to the info they got this morning, so he's leaving my 530i order along with my check in the "hold" pile on his desk.

It’s the Fine Wood Grey Blue Open Pore Ash. When I was ordering it, I thought the blue would be too much but after seeing it in person, it’s perfect.

It’s an Equus made by Hyundai. I actually was driving around a 2013 Equus with a V8 before I bought the BMW lol.

Come to think of it, there was also another car that I was riding around in Korea a few years ago. Something like Saanyoung(??)... it was very unique because it has a Mercedes inline-6 engine(complete with the Mercedes Star emblem on the engine). It was one of those very luxurious Korean cars that was never sold in America.

Be carful you are missing the 4UR Interaction Bar (ambient light) - don't do the same mistake I made. I am still hoping to be able to retro fit it in 2024 !!

Good move. That interactive light bar completely makes the interior. Why BMW even uses that incredibly inferior two narrow strip light bar in any incarnation of the 5 series is completely beyond me.

When I saw that and thought that's what would come with the 540xi I told the salesperson that that was a deal breaker and that I was probably going to get the new E-Class. Thankfully I learned that the 4UR interactive light bar is standard on the 540. The salesperson had no idea that this was the case.

It's always amazed me that people on forums like this know infinitely more than the sales staff.
