It just wouldn’t be the same around here without the usual crapping on new model/comparing to cheap car design if you squint/glad-I-got-the-older-one-but-really-kinda-hiding-my-fomo/love-hate relationship BMW fans have. Don’t change!
I did think that sensor block was a license plate holder, wondering why there was both an EU and a US plate holder installed |

It'd be nice to see it next to the current generation for size comparison. It doesn't exude sportiness like previous generations is looks quite large. Guess it doesn't really matter what we say, only matters what we buy or don't..

Even all blacked out - it looks terrible with FWD proportions and rear tailights reminiscent of current Camry. The headlights remind me of the awful E60 5er.
Besides the exterior awkward styling - the interior is very unoriginal and has lost any BMW heritage cues. What these automakers don’t get is ppl that want a Tesla, will buy one. Customers want BMW for other attributes so why go to these dumb screens instead of focusing on your heritage. At the very least, they should offer traditional gauge display within the screen. All just completely baffling…… |

Sophisto isn’t an option on the G60 thus far…only DGM but I could very well be wrong!

The front is getting extremely obnoxious, the rear somehow looks like Toyota Camry

Saw it at the Welt a couple of months ago. Didn't like it then under all the fancy lights. Don't like it now (back end maybe, front end def not, as a whole.. Nope).

they are trying to visually create perception of slimmer design and hide how tall and stubby it is. Tough job for designers to create slim sporty sedan on clar platform. Just imagine the size of it if black plastic was painted.

I saw some BMW press release photos of the M sport package and thought that looked decent.
This one in the flesh looks like absolute garbage. 1) the grill looks like an after thought - what is going on with that big sensor in the middle that they didn't even bother to conceal/integrate into the kidney grills 2) the wheels look like castors on furniture. The body looks WAY too big for the size of wheels this car has 3) For how "tall" the car is, the width is too narrow. The side profile looks like the car is top heavy 4) Overall the car just looks angry in all angles. No elegant lines on the car. It has a face only a mother could love. WTF is going on BMW? I've been a fan for 2 decades now, there is not one single design as of late that is redeeming. It all got weird after the G8X release. The new X5 looks good, but that's about it. |
