Yes the 826m do take time and patience. Small brushes, rags and possible a second repass after washing would be do if you missed a spot. I know this because I washed my car this weekend for the first time. Nonetheless great looking wheels just a pain to clean.

There's no replacement pads to help reduce brake dust? We did that for the hellcats and it helped a lot.

I use Sonax Wheel Rim Shield (https://www.sonaxusa.com/sonax-wheel-rim-shield.html) on my X3M Comp's wheels after they're cleaned. As long as you don't over coat them and let it completely dry before you drive, it works pretty well. It really does keep the rims clean, although on my wheels, brake dust accumulates on the inside "channel" because it gets stuck there (see attached pic). The face of the rim itself stays remarkably dust-free so it's a good way to keep things clean between washes...

You can buy other pads which help but I haven't looked for these brakes yet

Having black wheels for basically the past decade on various cars i figured out the best way to keep them cleaner, longer, or at least prolong the need to thoroughly clean them because of brake dust is to wax the wheels. There is wheel wax out there, like from chemical guys etc. But i actually use regular liquid paint wax. My opinion on most wheel cleaners is that if the cleaner is strong enough to remove brake dust without agitation, the wheel cleaner is too strong for the wheel finish itself. For example if you have powder coated wheels, or even chrome etc I follow larry from AMMONYC religiously and so far using his techniques, even though i am far from a professional level, my cars have always been in very good condition. Especially since i do not own a garage, all my cars are exposed to the elements all year round. |

Update #3:
This time I washed the wheels 3 times with 3 different soaps. This by far the best I got. Another improvement but I'm done caring about dust anymore. I highly recommend getting CCB.

If you put some effort to wipe them , use a brush it’ll clean just fine. I don’t understand the problem. There’s no magical spray that’ll clean them with no effort.
