I'm all for justice for criminals, but that news reminded me of the movie 'American History X'.
Did that thief deserve to be slaughtered like that, I'm not so sure...

I read that article the other day. These incidents are getting more widespread. Did you guys see the video of the guy with a butane torch? All these witnesses just recording on their phone while one dude is under the car. The other guy is wielding a butane torch and covering up his face.

At that point its 3 to 1. A butane torch only has so much range. My first instict would be drop the jack on the guy under the car and go straight for the torch. I would hope the others would help, but that's why I train Jiu Jitsu.
