I really loved the high quality, yet back to basics interior of my 135is. And at the same time it had many high tech features like adaptive headlights. Ergonomically, it fit me very well and was easy to drive for long distances.
I love the 991.2 911 and still used interiors in Porsche. In the 911, all the gauges fit within the view of the steering wheel. Not sure if anyone has noticed or has driven the 992 but once you get beyond the high tech screens, I noticed I can only see the middle three dials and the steering wheel blocks the view of the outlying two gauges unless you move your head. I also don’t like the piano black plastic which scratches and shows every imperfection. There is also a gap in the center console that is hard not to unsee once you discover it. The 992 is a magnificent performance car but Porsche is slightly off their game with that design IMO. So back to the 991.2 which is similar to my Macan. I love the design, fit and finish. Where everything is going touch screen, it’s still very tactile. The first time you get in and see all the buttons, you’re almost overwhelmed, kind of like the new C8. But then you come to appreciate that everything is well within reach and easy to find, not buried in a menu somewhere. So while not the highest tech, I love it. Someone above said you couldn’t get the sporty trims unless you go GTS....that’s not true. You can add anything you want even on the lowest trim, for a price of course, and that’s one of the beauties of Porsche design. If you truly want a one of one vehicle, you can create it. In fact, once you get to the higher priced models, you will find that most used ones are highly personalized. Latest gen Audi simply have the best interiors overall. A very nice mix of tech an analog, similar to Porsche in the sense they nailed the ergos. Which makes sense since they are part of the same company. I also love the Alfa interiors but a bit too plasticity. They look great until you start interacting with them. |

BMW F generation 6 series interior design is probably my favorite in terms of overall quality, feel of materials, layout/design, and practicality
The waterfall effect is simply stunning and when trimmed properly in Carbon Fiber, leather, and Alcantara, its heaven! Nothing compares to it from Audi, Mercedes AMG GT 4 series and S class are also beautiful and I'd consider them better designed but nothing else from Benz |

My favorite interior so far is actually the f30, though my former e34 touring is a close second. Both were black leather... the b was black as well.

Urrrrgh can't do red. Ever. Porsche has some absolutely BRUTAL interiors. The 997 beige is just filthy bad. Blue, red ...all look shite.

That's a nice shade of red in the Porsche too, I'm not a fan of those "in your face" bright reds for the inside of a car, leave it to the paint job if that's what you want.
Black leather is so boring it should be outlawed on higher end cars. Still love terra brown in my e90. |

FUnny you say that, the older I get the more I like cloth or alcantara or whatever, leather just seems too plush and not sporty enough for Porsches etc.

I like the Singer interior (other than that gawd-awful shift boot), but it seems no one on this board owns a Singer. As a side note, I'll never understand why the Singer V1 has that terrible shift boot and those horrible exhaust tips. What let-downs. The new exhaust tips aren't much better either. |

I always liked the red/black S2000 interior as well. They make this interior with a solid red dash as well, and it's just too much, but with the black I think it's really nice.

Not a car I owned but recently wife and I went out with the boss and his wife and he took us in his S-Class. For a car that was released in 2013 and likely designed at the beginning of the decade or even earlier, its aged really well and still looks and feels better than anything in its class.

Awesome interior, loved how all the controls were designed to be driver centric and even the radio could be hidden. I keep wishing Honda would make a new S2000.

Look at when the S2000 was designed as well, starting 1997... Put new tech in the S2000 and you'd have better lap times, but I'd be sad if that were one of the goals. That car is really fantastic without any numbers, it just needed some tweaks. Imagine if it came in at the same 2,809, same trans (absolutely brilliant), same open-top, driver-focused fun, but had a lightweight V6 with the torque down low. The Achilles heal of the S2000 was always the lack of torque (not that it needed more, but that 98% of people wanted more). The car, IMO, is still very relevant today with nothing but a torque bump. Winner winner chicken dinner. |

Would cost billions to make and $80K to turn a profit. Seriously makes no sense when the Boxster occupies that space and the Miata has the lower rung.
