The way people were discussing it here made it look like they expected it to be an exclusive benefit of the partnership between BMW and McLaren.
If thats not the case why does everyone hope to see it in those engines engineered by both?
BMW could easily aquire a license for themselves without the involvement of McLaren.
Also seeing how proud they're of VANOS, i highly doubt we'll see this technology in BMWs upcoming motors(sadly).
