Strong suction cups; no fault of the Rig just limitations on surfaces for those who can learn from my experience with using Rigs with industrial strength suction cups.

Yeah, smog and haze can make shooting the sun very interesting.

Thanks, I was actually interested in the composition of having the black and white birds, dark water, then the lone colored bird.

What kinds of birds are they? This shot was taken in Zürich.

The blacks ones are what we call coots in the USA. The white ones are some sort of swans and I'm not sure what kind of duck that is at the lower left.

We're up in Chicago for a few days for a conference. Today the fog finally went away and a little sunshine made an appearance. I was out walking along the river with my G7x.

Nice, just the 500? Never been on the East coast, actually never farther than Utah. Too scary.... In CO you should have sunsets like that all the time, I hear the dust will do that too.

Yes, bare 500mm. In Colorado, you can seldom shoot straight at the sun, because the sky is relatively clear. About the only times that I shoot straight at the sun are when we have smoke from forest fires, which is way too often.

Head East young man, just to see what there is to see.

Soon enough, retirement is close at hand. Need more optical equip first. APO telescopes don't come cheap either.
