Melo curse = Melo will never win an NBA Title because he ain't about winning..... he's about glam, status and stats..... if I'm building a team around an elite scorer, I'd hope that Melo wasn't the person I'm building around.... |

I hope Melo doesn't come to LA next year. It's either him or Kevin Love, and we want LOVE.

there were some "talks" about Dwight speaking with Melo about 3 or 4 weeks ago - I almost wanted to die... I'd rather have Rondo than Love or Melo...... |

James Harden is 3 of 6 this season on 3-pointers in the last minute when down by 3 or less. Only Durant -- who is 4 of 6 -- has more.
his name is JAMES HARDEN.... |

Dwight Howard - $21,436,271 Omer Asik - $14,898,938 Jeremy Lin - $14,898,938 James Harden - $14,693,906 Total Rocket guarenteed payroll in 2014/15 - $71,980,426 Rockets are f***** and not signing any big name free agents, believe that. The only guaranteed Laker contracts of any size are Kobe and Nash. Total Laker guarenteed payroll for 2014/15 - $35,344,228 It gets even better if they stretch provision Steve Nash (meaning only 1/3 of his salary hits for 2014/15). That would give us even more cap room to work with. The Lakers are ready to rebuild baby! We could probably bring both Melo and Love over, but I don't know anyone in LA who actually wants Melo. Melo simply isn't a team player, and he doesn't bring post season success because of it. Love would be an improvement over Gasol IMO so he makes sense, and since the Lakers stunk it out this season, we're pretty much a lock for a Top 5 or 6 pick in this loaded ass draft. Early news is we want Dante Exum, a super talented 1 or 2-spot guard out of Australia. Analyst compare his physical gifts and skills to Russell Westbrook, but much longer. There's also huge interest in Larmacus Aldridge who will be a free agent as well. So next year could look like this for us: Kevin Love/Gasol? Kaman? Larmacus Aldridge/Jordan Hill Xavier Henry/Wesley Johnson Kobe Bryant/Jodie Meeks Dante Exum/Jordan Farmer That would be a very deep and competitive squad for next year.

and how are the Rockets going to dump Lin and Asik? You know of any NBA teams jumping at the chance to take those contracts?

and Lin - well, Morey will convince anyone that McHale was "using him wrong" and that he needs to find a home where the coaches can better utilize him... we'll finally dump him and then watch as Lin loses his starting job to a scrub PG in the eastern conference..... because ZERO of the western conference playoff teams would start Lin right now on their teams.....ZERO...... maybe we can send him to one of those shitty New York/Brooklyn teams that win 30 games a year...... |

you shouldn't - last year, when Asik was playing full time, out rebounded Deandre Jordan.
Asik RP per 48 minutes was 18.6 Deandre was waaaay down at 14.2 Asik abviously doesn't play due to subbing Dwight Howard, but the potential is still there...he'll be gone next year, watch........ Quote:
he unloaded that thing we had named Royce White.....people thought we were gonna be stuck with that shitbird for a long time...... Morey is great at telling other GM's that his assets are good and that they would be better on their team.... I'm sure he's gonna bamboozle some poor sap that will take Lin's overhyped ass... |

Asik is too good to be a sub, but I don't think he's good enough for someone to eat $15,000,000 for a season. I don't see him being unloaded either.
I think Houston is stuck with those contracts unless a really stupid move is made by another team on either of those two guys. Lin is going to be making more than Steph Curry and Tony Parker next year. In fact, he'll be the highest paid point guard in the league behind CP3 and Deron Williams. McHale might as well find a way to use him because he's stuck with him through 2015.

Damn, did Brooklyn just sweep the season series with the Heat?
Wow. I wonder what happens if they meet in the playoffs. They were saying on SportsCenter that teams that win the season series win the playoff match 92% of the time.

Rockets score 49 points in the 3rd quarter last night against the junk lakers lol.
Harden had a good game: 33 points and 12ast Lin is still a dumpster fire and can't even get more playing time than a kid who was in the D-League 6 weeks ago..... Lin 9 points 6 ast and 4-8 from the field Canaan 15 points, 1ast and 6-8 from the field (3-4 from 3point land) Asik had another great night - he's really helping himself out by playing well for other teams that want him next year... won't be hard to unload him.....10 points, 15 reb....dude only played 25 minutes..... |

Yeah, 3-1, but this was a straight out SWEEP. Boston also was up 3-2 in the Conference Finals and dangerously close to being ousted by an OLD Celtics team. More and more it's looking like Miami is not the same team from 2012, and 2013.

So the Pacers won despite none of the starters playing tonight.
And the Heat lose. Thanks for spotting us that 1/2 game. See ya Friday.
