Click was not bad. I'll admit, it hit me right in the feels. Sorry to hear about not having your dad around, I couldn't imagine not having mine even being as far away as we are.

Nope. Someone respectable will get this magic seed. Too bad that's a rarity anymore.

Adam Sandler should have retired a LONG time ago.
I loved "anger management".

My condolences. May I ask how he passed? He must've been very young.
He was relatively young. 51,

February 21st, 2012. Had sudden cardiac death while having a heart attack.

That's the thing- He wasn't at all in his 30s-40s (obese) but after he was charged with embezzlement (whole nother story there) and served time, he really got in shape. Started running every day- gave up white bread, but I guess the damage had already been done for almost a whole life of not taking care of himself. Weird too since he's the one who pushed me into boxing and knew how to always make weight while I was in my teens, but never practiced his own words.

Condolences, Mr. SS. My younger brother died last November from a massive heart attack. He was 54 and active as can be. Hard to get past the shock of a loss like that.

And those of us in the sad fraternity of folks who have lost their Dads know your pain. I miss my Dad every frigging day. He was the man I always aspire to be.

My condolences to you as well, that's definitely rough. I'm afraid of the same fate because I too take care of myself better than anyone I know. But when it's your time, it's simply your time.

It's a numbing club to be a part of, so it's good knowing people can relate. I'm grateful to still have my mom around, but when I lost my dad- I just remember the outter body experience feeling of a ton of pressure before fainting (I was told over the phone)

I always thought it would be a "painful" (literal) experience but it's not. I almost wish it was, because until a person goes through it, it's hard to explain. At least with literal pain there's still hope for a cure or remedy. This was more an immense feeling of helplessness, because no matter how much money you give, or how many good deeds you make- you'll never get another second with them.

Adversity will definitely helped a man grow, that's for sure.

Haha.

This is a cute thread.

Yes, renovating is fun. I'll try to get pics of my old homes from my archives too so you'll see I'm not just a closet filler.

Did you see the recent Reno I did to my beach home? (Rosarito)

20K total (not including labor cost)- interior and exterior. Took roughly two months but there was always 3-4 guys working 6 days a week.

Yeah, I think I even commented, great job!

How did you narrow it down to that property? That truly is great.

It was the only one for sale that had direct access to the beach.

The properties in Mexico are wayyyyy cheaper- so given that I have somewhat of a creative mind (says the musician right?) I had to look at it and see the potential in it rather than the original presentation.

Kept telling myself - you can build a home on a beach but you can't bring a beach to a home.

I love my condo in LB (where I'm usually at) since its beach front as well and the views are spectacular but I wanted a change from that "organized" feel you get from having to pay HOAs to a property management group.- I also wanted more of a Spanish style home to vacation/gather my thoughts at.

I would never buy a property ruled by hoa. I'm too much of a rebel.

That was an excellent reasoning. I look forward to hear your music, and what ever guarantees you need to know it wont be spread by me will be given. I don't do that shit.

HoAs are thhheeeeeee worst.

I can't even have a Seahawks door mat without them freaking out.

But...I love the location/place. And long beach reminds me of Seattle except with better weather.

It's a process but it's coming Lups! It's coming!! I can assure you my talents are worth waiting for! But I'm also not going to send out a rough demo without some mix/copyright ideas are finalized (I don't think you'd do anything, but I'd be a fool not to)

Couldn't have said it better myself.

On good days, doesn't it feel like your pops or brother are simply on vacation? Or back at home doing their own thing before reality sets back in? That's how it is for me.

Thank God for technology. I was able to save my dads last voicemail to me a few days before he passed on an SD card and put it on all my computers.
