That's awesome, Ed. Saw that on your Flickr page earlier. Stunning shot.

A clear sky (for a change) this afternoon, made the Evening Crescent Moon stand out nicely.

^^^^Very nice, Alan. I like the late afternoon/Blue Hour moon shots better than nighttime shots.

I've got thousands of 4k and higher stills. 4k video isn't really a big attraction for me. Last summer I started building my 8k archive, after the purchase of a 52mp Canon 5DsR.

Gonna try it. I believe the Sony has a mirroring app that you can show what is on computer, tablet, phone etc. I have not played with that yet. they also have something for a photo book I believe.

I purchased a new Canon Pixma Pro-100 printer that'll print up to 13x19", with great colors. It's got three inks for B&W and the B&W prints have blown me away. Here's an old fave from Venice from a few years ago. Before printing, I reprocess to TIFF. The resulting print shows more detail than you can see here:
Low Bridge by David Stephens, on Flickr My wife is clearing wall space and has picked out a bunch of stuff to print and hang. BTW, after rebates, the Pro-100 is only $149. It's a real pro printer and comes with a plug-in to LR that makes printing close to effortless. A set of 8-inks is just under $110.

This is about 200-yards out, so even with 700mm (500mm plus 1.4x TC) it's a big crop and there's still a bit of light fog in the air, but the action is good enough to share. Stood on the shore for 2.5 hours, hoping for something like this, only closer:
The catch... by David Stephens, on Flickr The background bokeh is crazy because it's a dam, covered with brown rocks.

Cool shots, DC. Been there, standing around for hours only to see a cool scene happen at the very edge of the lens's range.
